We visited Darley's for the first time this year as part of the celebrations for my better half's 40th Birthday. We went with another couple and between us had more challenges in terms of food allergies and preferences than you can imagine - the staff did not bat an eyelid. The waiting staff were informative and more than happy to talk to the chef for advice. The chef actually designed a menu for my mate who has some serious issues with what he is able to eat.
I have eaten in some high end restaurants where even if you can afford to eat there they still make you feel uncomfortable but this is not the case at Darley's. They seem to know what level you want to be engaged at. Whilst they are always attentive those that want a more discrete level of service get just that whilst those that want to chat and engage with the staff are made to feel more than welcome.
The food is excellent and the ambiance is fantastic. The wine list is excellent and covers all price bands - you can get something very drinkable for around £20 or pay £200 plus if you wish.
I wouldn't want to eat every week for no other reason than it would leave nowhere in the local area for those special occasions
