Couldn't fault the room - large with super comfortable bed & pillows. No noisy neighbours. Shame that dinner on 1st of our 2 nights was so dire that a meal in nearby Harvesters attained almost cordon blue by comparison.
Warm welcome and helpful staff. Was impressed by how complaint dealt with by duty manager

Room Tip: 209 was good for us

We stayed for 4 nights with two children aged 6 and 10 to have a short break and visit some local places of interest all of which were within a reasonable travelling time from here. The hotel has an onsite and safe carpark with ample space covered by CCTV. It is within a half hour walk to the stadium if you like football. It is served well by a bus to the city centre only a few steps away. The staff were all very hospitable friendly and took time to assist us with all queries including those of our children and helped them with pencils, pens paper etc. we needed a phone charger and they also accommodated this freely. The room was basic as to be expected but we enjoy knowing that you get comfortable bedrooms with clean sheets etc. Bathroom a tiny bit tired but otherwise fine. The staff made the hotel really for us. When my little girl was poorly they made everything simple for us. Their local knowledge was good and even though they were v busy made time for us and the children. The restuarant service for main meal was good and food v good. The breakfast was busy and they worked hard providing ample hot food but often ran out of continental items such as croissant which for me was really only what I was after but this is a v small negative really. When we asked for more they provided extra and then allowed my little girl to take extra out for a snack later. The only noise issue we had was because other guests chose to ignore the non smoking immediately outside the reception and the smoking shelter away from the hotel and managed to congregate here in the early hours which is unfair on their part and not of the hotel. I would have asked reception to move them on but I think they could have guessed which room we were so did not bother. I would recommend this hotel and thank you to the staff in both reception and restaurant. We are well seasoned travellers and have stayed in many hotels.

Room Tip: Stay in one of the rooms away from reception.

Enjoyed two nights in this hotel. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Room was very clean. Breakfasts and Dinner experiences were very good. Particularly evening meals were excellent - we had the meal deal at £22 which included full English Breakfast and three course Evening Meal plus drink.

Room Tip: We had room 214 which overlooked a busy road but was screened by trees. We could not hear the traff...

staff were really helpful and friendly especially allowing us an early check in to get ready for a wedding :-) made life sooo much easier :-) room was large and spacious and my daughters loved their beds ( spare bed was a proper bed not on the floor like previous premier inn ) room was clean... took along time to get pressure from tap in bathroom but may of just been time of day .. Breakfast was okay (not a big fan of hot buffet though as everything gets dryed out ) staff very helpful again though :-)

A group of ten of us stayed here for 3 weeks during October 2012. The rooms were the same as every other premier inn comfortable but basic I can say this as a certainty as I've stayed at 20 odd of them up and down the land and this is the worst one by far. The rooms are fine and clean but check-in is slow and the restaurant staff is awful they are truly terrible if there not losing your order they're letting it go cold rather than bringing it to you so they can stand around and chat. The food is good when it turns up but it often doesn't and its even more often cold this goes doubly for the breakfast which is always cold. In essence avoid like the plague premier inns are fine just not this one.

Stopped here October 2012 for business nearby the room was clean and comfortable. I cannot comment on the food as I did not eat here. My stay was ruined by some unruly guests who kept slamming their room doors at 22:00hrs and then allowed their children to run up and down the corridors. The walls were a little thin as well, I could hear a gentleman in the room next to me on his mobile but it sounded like he was in my bathroom as opposed to been in another room.
Location - relatively easy to locate.
Local amenities - there are a handful of fast food restaurants nearby and an Asda supermarket.
