We were surprised by the Director's Lounge with free glass of wine and a mini-box of chocolates. the seats are great and the table for the wine is excellent. You are oblivious to all other people in the cinema due to the seat size and spacing - great.

The Showcase is just what is says, a Cinema. I think anyone's impression of the Cinema itself is coloured by the film they go to see. The food is way overpriced and inaccessible but then this is true of all cinemas anyway.

“Spacious and confortable”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Spacious seating with great leg room, the chairs even recline a little bit and were really comfortable. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable and the cinema was clean and well presented. The only downside was the woman next to me was eating pizza and chips at the start of the film, which was really offputting. She was making a lot of noise, dropping chips everywhere (because it was dark) and the vinegar smell was overpowering! I don't think these should be allowed during the film, popcorn and sweets are ok but not whole meals. Aside from that the cinema itself is great and I would go again.

“Directors hall=expensive+shocking service!”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Visited last night for skyfall. Prebooked over telephone £27.80 for two tickets! Service in bar area non existent, after waiting 25 minutes for a waitress to take our drinks order we went up to the bar to order them. Ended up being 15 minutes late into the film. When shown to our seats, the prebooking telephone system had allocated us seats on different rows for each other (not nice when we were out for our wedding anniversary!). We were told we would have to sit separately as they were he seats we were allocated and it was a sold out showing (when u book, over the phone you arent given a choice of seats BTW). We had to ask to see the manager and argue with the usher in front of everyone until we were given two seats together in another row, and when i looked around a few times during the film, guess what, a good few seats empty so wasn't sold out
at all!! Then our drinks which we had ordered for 9.50pm didn't arrive until 10.15pm.

Directors hall charges you a fortune to basically not be able to choose your own seats and to be given the privilege of being able to pay rip off prices for drinks and food to be brought to you by a waitress half an hour later than you wanted them!

I a, going to the cinema again tonight but will be going to the odeon instead!!

“Comfortable seats!”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Visited yesterday 24.05.12. Visited with a friend to see sinister, when we got in the cinema we found our seats to be extremely comfortable and was very clean which made for good viewing. It is however extremely expensive, however most cinemas are nowadays! My friend ordered a bad of chocolates which were a shocking £3 and I had the smallest ball of nachos that were £3.85!!! apart from the prices a very nice cinema.
