Been there a couple months ago ... very nice service, staff are nice and helpful. My stay included wifi in the room (not sure if it is free to all stays), just asked for the password at the reception and you are set. Rooms looked a bit old, had a little problem with the shower and the room key but generally felt comfortable in the room. Has TV, iron, tea etc. that are good enough for an overnight stay.
I especially enjoyed the huge and delicious English breakfast - I usually ate a lot and it made me full! Thankful for the freshly cooked hot breakfast that warmed my day too.
Close to city centre - only a 10-min walk along a straight road. It is quite dark and quiet at night though, so alternatively you can take a taxi for around £4.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a budget stay in Derby.

Hotel looked ok from front but like a block of flats from carpark at the back so we were a bit apprehensive. No one on reception but went through to bar and they were helpful and checked us in immediatley. Hotel is like a rabbit warren and halls are out dated but we were pleasantly surprised by our room it was big and modern with a seating area and everything you would expect.
Few problems inclded, some lights not working, iron didnt work and there wasnt a spare so luckily someone checked out and I was able to use that room for ironing. There was a huge crack in our window, the bathroom was beautiful but shower head wouldnt stay up and kept tipping to spray the wall. Also we only had hand towels and were told this was due to the delivery not arriving, i did grab a bath towel from the cleaner in the morning before my shower so not too bad.
Overall was good location for us only £3-4 in a taxi to city centre but wouldnt reccomend to anyone who struggles with stairs or long walks. generally could do with upgrading but was clean and comfortable,

This hotel has definitely seen better days. It is tatty and has a number of broken fixtures and damaged walls and surfaces. It was extremely hot although the weather was cold. The double bed was smaller than a standard double which was very uncomfortable for 2 people.

I got the room from Last Minute for £40 for 2 people including breakfast. I would be sorely disappointed if I had paid the £100 a night advertised charge.

The rooms were clean and staff polite. Views from the back of the hotel were quite nice.

Breakfast was geared towards the Full English and lacked on the non-fried options. Cold drinks were limited to orange juice.

Hotel is old and dated, tatty carpets from 1st floor, bathrooms very 1980"s Room was clean and bed was comfy but bathroom window latch broken and window sills dirty. However the Buffet breakfast was outstanding and we had a good nights sleep. I would use this hotel again for a short stay.

My room had a stair case cutting into it so you can hear people going up and down all the time. The decor was tatty and a hole in the wall where the door- handles had smashed into. The bathroom was clean but had a wooden seat, not very hygienic. The TV in the room did not work either and had a fuzzy picture.
The place may have had a refresh but they look like they forget the paint work as looks very grubby.
Breakfast was OK, but ordered a Cesar salad and was give lettuce, chicken and a few tiny croutons covered in a sickly sauce.
No lift in this hotel makes getting up and down a struggle then you are faced with a maze of corridors which again have seen better days.
The car park is down a very very steep drive which means if you have bags it is hard work as you have to hold to a hand rail or you will go for a burton.
