This is a nice museum in Derby. Used to go here as a child and it is still interesting to this day. You can explore different rooms of this old house and get a feel of what it was like back in the day Even the toilets are interesting.

Really enjoyed an hour in this free museum. It's the family home of an architect who was living in Derby in the 18th Century and very atmospheric. The staff are very welcoming, but you're free to wander all around the house and garden at will.

This little museum in Derby is well worth a visit. Although its not huge, the layout is good and there are different rooms across several floors to investigate, each with interesting facts and information. There is also a quiz on offer to keep children (and adults!) occupied, with a small prize of sweets at the end. Its just the right size to keep younger children interested without them getting bored. Best of all its free of charge!

I really enjoyed visiting Pickford's House and went on a friend's recommendation. The history of the house was fascinating, and I was also interested in the exhibition of toy theatres which had been collected by a friend of L S Lowry. I hadn't seen anything of that nature before!

This house was fine although fewer rooms than I expected. Didn't like the fact that the toilets were the ones in the house's bathrooms. Don't know why it just didn't seem right!!
