“Excellent economy accommodation”

We chose here as it was a good place to meet up with old college friends from different parts of the country and we planned to visit Gloucester docks. We found all the staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Although our room was on the small side it was spotless and at the back of the hotel - very quiet, with a nice view over the fields, perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Our friends, who were staying 2 nights all had lovely big rooms - room 26 was huge.
We chose to have the meal deal £22 each for 3 course dinner with a drink, and full breakfast - excellent value and good food.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back lovely and quiet, sizes do vary, worth asking for one of the larger rooms if you p...

Usually stay at Little Witcombe premier inn when coming down this way which I would rate at 5 stars for everything, however Twigworth is a whole different story, dogs tied up outside barking in the mornings, cobwebs and spiders in the room, kids running up and down the corridors knocking on doors, inefficient restaurant again full of spiders and cobwebs!!!
I shall definately not be coming back here.

We stayed at the Premier In (Twigworth) in August 2012.
The hotel was small, and friendly. Our room was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was clean and well lit.
We weren't planning a breakfast, but the morning after the night before, nudged us into partaking in this excellent service. My husband certainly got his money’s worth with his enormous plate of porky products.
I'd have no trouble in recommending it to friends and family.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel look out across fields rather than the car park.

Twigworth Premier Inn is an old Victorian Pub with additional rooms built on. This premier inn is a bit quirky and in some ways unique. It was not built as a Premier Inn - and there will be differences in size and space in the rooms.

Breakfast service and quality was excellent. Staff excellent. Cleaning to a good standard. Loved the location as it was well placed to explore the area.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful and we were promptly checked in. Room was small, but very clean and comfortable, when I mentioned in passing to reception that the room was small, they immediately offered to move me to a bigger one, but I was happy enough. It is however an older hotel so the floors upstairs are creaky and noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, (I can sleep through anything so no bother), it may be best to ask for an upstairs room. No road noise however, so that's a big plus as you can leave the window open - the rooms being a tad on the hot side.

Restaurant? Really wonderful staff, very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was good with big portions and we ended up buying Meal Deals for all 3 nights - I can recommend the steak , lovely!

Overall, sure, the hotel could do with a bit of a revamp, (apparently its a listed building so that may constrain Premier Inn), but over all, a nice hotel and I would stay again.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for an upstairs room.

Don't usually do reviews and have stayed at many Premier inns without complaint but this place was awful.

The room was cramped, stuffy and dark. You couldn't open the door properly because the bed was in the way (fire regulations??) and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom was tiny with a shower cubicle and no bath. The bed was small & extremely uncomfortable (where was the kingsize Hypno?)

Complained to reception on check-out and told them it was the worst premier Inn that we had ever stayed in but they weren't interested. Strangely enough we haven't received the usual email from Premier Inn asking for feedback!!

We won't be returning and will think twice in future about booking Premier Inn as they are obviously not all up to the same standard. There are plenty of other hotel chains such as Holiday Inn, Jurys Inn, Thistle, etc.

We stayed in a family room for 1 night to break up our journey to Cornwall, ideal location not far off the m5, rooms very clean and spacious, my only not quite a negative would be the tv volume, there is some sort of volume restricter which I appreciate is a great idea but we could not hear the tv on the highest volume unless we were stood bang next to the tv, not ideal ! We had the next door and the oakwood, as we were eating before 5.30pm we were able to take advantage of the offers for children eating for £1 and a third off the menu, not many places a family of 4 can have 3 courses each for £16!!! We also pre booked the breakfast which again was excellent value. Very friendly staff with excellent customer service, would not hesitate to stay here again when travelling to Cornwall.
