My husband and I frequently dine at the queens head and can honestly say that every time we go the food and service is outstanding. There is always a large choice of starters, mains and desserts and something to suit all tastes. The staff are very friendly and always check that all is good with your meal. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

We ate here recently with two French friends and we had an excellent meal. This place is such good value, with first class, efficient service and no hidden extras for every additional item such as vegetables. The vegetables are beautifully cooked and although we are not particularly fond of chips, the ones we had that night were outstandingly good. Our fish was superb in a delicious crteamy sauce and the puddings really were to die for, especially the marmalade brioche bread and butter pudding! Please don't change anything! This is an absolute recipe for success!

We got in on a last minute cancellation, you need to book a couple of weeks in advance for a group booking.
Great menu and well cooked and presented food. Some good quality real ales to drink, we didn't look at the wine list.
I was happy with the service and value of the evening.

Thank Andrew V

The weather was as bad as anything this winter, a wild and windy dark Sunday night, where even a dog would not have wanted to venture out. But the Queens Head was packed, filled with celebratory customers.
The fact that the QH was so busy is testament to the food and management that has been built up a reputation (with the same owners) since 1995.
The Queens Head has a rustic feel and some interesting motor sport paraphernalia.
Warm welcome for our party and drinks swiftly arrived: very good wine selection and splendid choice of real ales.
Food all arrived together (no mean feat for 10 of us) and was not precooked / boil in bag but real locally sourced produce, cooked and presented just right and with exceptionally generous portions.
Great night out in a comfortable pub. Enjoyed by all.
Definitely will be back.
