Very good meal, good price. We were served by a very pleasant German lady called Sabine. We used the premier inn which was attached to the pub, as we were on our way down to Devon for a weeks stay.
Would recommend to friends.
I had the vegetarian tart, which was very nice. Also I did make a complaint as the 'crispy bacon' on the starter was not crispy, and this was duly deducted from our bill, which we thought was a very nice touch.
Thank you,

On a positive note the wine was acceptable.
Everything else, and I mean everything' was about as far removed from everything I would describe as a decent meal as is possible to get.

Good portions at a reasonable Price and tasty with it. not somewhere for that really special meal but great to go with the children or if staying at the premier inn next door.
Couple of real ales on tap too and a decent pint which was a bonus.
Certainly worth a try

An hour & a half to have some mushrooms on toast and fish and chips!

Service was slapdash at best.

Food was not much better. Thank God this was just a quick bite after work mid week if I waited to go to this pub at the weekend Or special occasion I would have been sorely disappointed.

The Stilton and peppercorn mushroom's sauce was very sparsely favoured with Stilton. We told them that both our starters were cold. Our bill was not adjusted at all. The fried fish was still very wet inside the batter, neither did it have much flavour.

One staff member admitted that the Wi-Fi doesn't work the further back of the pub you go. We could not access the Wi-Fi at all.

To cap it all all he told us that we had to go to the bar to pay as the card machine was playing up… He was right it took 3 cancelled transactions before it worked ...that always leaves one feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Mediocre.

We use this place a lot when staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Barnwood and also next door at the Premier Inn. The food is better than the food at the Holiday Inn, not so "poncey" just good pub grub. We have been there on numerous occassions and apart from one week when the head chef was not there, have found it to be good food and good service.
