“Nice Pub”

Found the Swan at Coombe Hill by chance, great selection of wines, décor seemed to be new and fresh. The barman was very friendly and helpful.

“Top lunches cosy pub”
Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

Been to the swan for lunch a couple of times very nice food simple but done well, nice coal fire and really friendly staff helpful and polite good service nice choice of ales and good coffee. even though the road outside is busy inside you don't really notice it and it's not noisey, inside probably could do with a lick of paint here and there but it also has that shabby chic feel about it which I personally like will definitely be back for more

“good pub food”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

The Swan fails to get five stars from me only because of its shabby interior. That apart, the staff were pleasant and friendly and their timing between courses was spot on for a dinner out with friends. A variety of food was ordered between 4 people and there was not one single course that disappointed. The Belly of Pork was described as the best ever and the servings were generous. Cost, a little on the high side for a pub meal - £120 including tip, for 4 people and including one round of drinks and coffee for three. We will definitely visit again.
One small request - could you please provide dessert forks - we were all chasing delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding and Treacle Tart around our plates!

“Consistently Good, Enjoyable Food”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Have lunched and dined at the Swan with different people a number of times now. The menus, specials board and food served never fail to please. And the service is especially good - polite and attentive, but not overly so. The Swan is a well-visited pub, being neither too full nor almost deserted whenever I have eaten there. Despite arriving at Sunday lunch time without a booking, there were tables available and food was served very soon after ordering.
To be recommended are the Slow Roast Belly Pork, Gressingham Duck and Sea Bass in Creamy Salmon Sauce. For desert, either Sticky Toffee Pudding or Creme Brulee with Homemade Shortbread (that just melts in your mouth) cannot be faulted.
