This was our 3rd stay and each time we have had the same excellant service. The hotel is situated 5 mins walk from the centre of Harogate and provides off street parking so you can leave your car and walk around Harogate.
If you are expecting a completely modern and clinical room then you will be unhappy but what you do get is a room that is clean tidy and functionable the bathrooms in the 3 different rooms we have stayed in have been spotless. Clean towels every day.
Nothing is too much trouble for the family that run it to make your stay a good one.
I have stayed in some so called luxury hotels and payed twice the money and got a tenth of the value.
If your wanting a quiet well run and good value bolt hole the Fountains is Ideal and we will certainly continue to use it.

One night stay - was given a choice of two rooms on the first floor by the owner who carried our bags upstairs for us. Felt cold at first but our host turned the heating on and it was lovely and warm when we returned to it after a quick shopping trip into town. Safe, off road, parking. Generous hospitality tray. Very clean. Mix of antique (old fashioned) and modern furnishings but very comfortable. Very good breakfast, choices offered in everything except marmalade. Very friendly host. Enjoyable stay.

We stayed at the Fountains for 3 nights for a mid-week mini break. Lovely big bright and airy room with large walk in shower ensuite. The towels were changed every day and the room cleaned. It was spotless. Couldnt fault the breakfast, locally sourced sausages and bacon, homemade marmalade, toast, cereals, fruit etc, plenty to start the day. Dave was very welcoming and helpful at recommending places to go, restaurants, local pubs etc. A great place to stay, wonderful owners who genuinely take an interest in their guests.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at this hotel which is very well situated for visiting Harrogate. The International Conference centre is two minutes walk away and the town centre is within walking distance.I had not been to Harrogate and I recommend a visit as its intrinsic character has been preserved. The owners of the hotel make you welcome and the service is excellent.

‘The Fountains bed and breakfast in Harrogate North Yorkshire, is an elegant Victorian building' Beautiful, Great and peaceful. This wonderful B & B comes with a beautiful Garden and available parking. The room was comfortable and clean. The sleep was very pleasant and the room had a free view TV. I would stay hear again and recommend the breakfast. I remember home made jam and how welcoming the owners were.

Walk in to town: 5-10 minutes (Easy walk)
Parking: Very good
Breakfast: Good English
Owners: Very helpful, Very Friendly

I recommend this place. Unlike so many other B&Bs this one has clearly had regular redecorating and hence is very smart and pleasant to be in. The decorating is tasteful, there is no clutter or tatt but it still achieves a friendly feel which sets it aside from the austerity of a hotel.
It represents excellent value for money and provides all the facilities and space that you could need. Owners are frienldy, efficient and helpful.
