Highly recommend this place. Very friendly, gave us tea and cake on arrival. Rooms lovely, equipped with everything you could ever want. The gardens to wander around are beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic, the best I've had.

We stayed at Cold Cotes either side of a week in Northumberland, it was our second /third visit and it was every bit as good as the first time. The welcome is always very warm, the breakfast really sets you up for the day and the beds are fantastic. We like it so much we have bought a gift voucher for the in-laws. It's a lovely base from which you can explore the Dales and I would highly recommend it, we will definitely go back.

Room Tip: We like room 6 which is very spacious and comfortable but there is not much natural light.

We spent 1 nights in Cold Cotes, and it was splendid. It was my first night in the English countryside, and I felt as if I was thrown into an 18th century British novel. Beautiful rooms, breathtaking gardens, 2 cute ponys, great breakfast, great hospitality - A unique experience!

We booked here for 2 nights to attend our daughters wedding at a local village. We stayed in room 4 which was very roomy with a very large bathroom. All linen was fresh and high quality. Breakfast was excellent with an unusually wide choice, all served swiftly, in a friendly but not overly intrusive manner. We would highly recommend this B&B. Thank you.

Room Tip: Room 4 had lovely views over the wild flower gardens.

What a wonderful place. Attention to detail and quality of fittings and service were excellent. The breakfast was fantastic fresh quality ingredients There was a problem with the water the night we were there and the owners did everything humanly possible to make our stay as unaffected as possible. Will definitely be back. Could not fault it in any way. Beds were really comfortable too Thank you.

We stayed at this lovely B&B just outside Harrogate for 2 nights. When we arrived, tea and cakes were served in the very comfortable lounge with a blazing log fire, just perfect to warm us up on a very wet and cold April day. We were shown to our room (no. 5 in the converted barn) which was just perfect, a superking bed (which could be converted to twin beds) with lovely bedding. Why oh why don't more B&Bs invest in decent furniture like this! The wet room, with quality fittings, was beautifully decorated and with premium bathroom products available, you don't really need to take anything of your own. The breakfasts were wonderful, everything was beautifully presented and nothing was too much trouble. The weather was atrocious when we stayed but we had a large umbrella outside our room for our use. Attention to detail was beyond reproach and we would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, the only pub within walking distance was dreadful and should be avoided at all costs! The Nelson Inn, a few miles further on, would be a good choice.
