Owner description: Valley Gardens is a beautiful Park in Low Harrogate, perfect for a relaxed stroll or for a family day out. It is an English Heritage Grade II Listed Garden covering 17 acres of formal gardens, leisure activities and woodland. Historical buildings and the semi-covered Colonades sit nestled amongst a wide variety of shrub, flower and herbaceous beds. The adventure play area is immensely popular especially during the summer season when the paddling pool is a refreshing way to cool down. There are a wide range of sporting activities to try during your visit including; tennis, crazy golf, table tennis, disc golf, pitch and putt as well as a skatepark. For music lovers, band concerts take place on Sunday afternoons throughout the summer.

Great walk in the heart of the town, this Victorian park is very special. We had tea at the coffee shop in the middle.

Beautiful park just on the edge of the town centre with new children's playground, pitch/putt & crazy golf in summer, a nice cafe with outdoor seating, pond for model boats etc. Concerts on Sunday afternoons in summer. Plenty of free parking on nearby streets.

Lovely gardens on the edge of Harrogate centre! very relaxing and well kept grounds.
We saw squirrels and absolutely no litter! There is quite a large children's playground too which looked well maintained.

Worth a visit if you are staying in Harrogate.

The gardens are well kept, pretty and the facilities for children are excellent. Well worth a relaxing wander round to escape the stress of retail therapy.

The flower displays are lovely. There is a friendly family feel to the whole area. There are tennis courts, a children's play area, a boating pool and a Magnesia well café where you can have a coffee or eats. they sell ice cream there too. There is a new café in the children's play area. I enjoy the New Zealand garden with Maori carvings and plants. A lovely walk at any time of the year.
