a good base for exploring surrounding towns and a good location within Harrogate, very central which was great considering we actually paid very little. I think I might have been a bit more disappointed if I had paid more. Room was perfectly adequate for short stay. Good TV! Large bathroom but in an odd way, and very badly lit, so you certainly couldn't do your make up in there! Staff seemed helpful and parking no problem as hotel not too busy. My biggest issue is that photos on websites rarely give you the 'true picture' of a hotel! My only issues really were the noise the toiled made when you flushed it, and hallways smelt musty, but then it is a hotel. Overall a reasonable price for a reasonable room. The location is the bit that nails it.

I was in Harrogate for a conference, and wanted a central hotel with wifi and room service breakfast.

On arrival I found the checkin a little slow but friendly. I had booked a single room, so was pleasantly surprised to find I had a huge double room, good TV. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean and stylish.

The bathroom was clean with lots of hot water, but its decor was bit tired compared to the bedroom. The wifi worked fine although it was an extra charge and the hotel website had given me the impression it was included. The room service breakfast was adequate, arrived bang on time, and the staff were helpful and charming.

The lounge downstairs was very pleasant for a quiet drink although the bar got crowded and noisier than my taste.

The hotel location is excellent, close to the railway station, next to shops, park and Betty's, and an easy walk to and from the conference centre.

I would recommend this hotel as a base for a conference, but not first choice for a family holiday or romantic break. It was trying hard but not really living up to the boutique hotel impression given by its website.

Good value as booked through 'easybreaks' which meant our dnner was included. Very central and opposite Betty's coffee shop, which is well worth a visit although very expensive. Buy a 'fat rascal'! Also a lovely park across the road. The room was clean and adequate with a nice modern decor, lovely clean, big bathroom, but the staff were noisy in the night, with lots of kitchen noises and putting bins out, etc. Try and book a room overlooking the front street and you won't hear this. Phenomonal help-yourself breakfast. would certainly return.

Thought it wise to earn some browny points for the first Valentines so i booked a DB&B deal with Emma in Events. Have to say Emma ensured we were looked after really well. The room located at the front of the hotel on the 4th floor was a good size and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were first rate including the staff that we came in to contact with. The location of the hotel speaks for itself, truly perfect. Not sure how i am going to top that next year but i am confident the browny points were this time, well and truly earned! Thank you!
