We stayed at the Yorkshire Hotel for an overnight stay with some friends whilst touring Yorkshire. We did not know what to expect as we got a really cheap rate using the internet to book. From walking in the door we were impressed - the receptionist was knd and courteous and gave us a sticker for our car so we could park outside (and we saved a fortune on parking fees as a result). Our room, although dated, was huge and overlooked Betty's Tea Room and the War Memorial. We were on the forth floor and had wonderful views over the town. The room was clean and tidy and also had a very large bathroom - it was all very nice indeed. We had booked room only and just to let you know there was a Witherspoons down the street where we had a bargain breakfast the next morning.
We had a great couple of days in Harrogate - no parking to worry about, plenty of nice places to visit, lovely parks - and a grand hotel to stay in. We will return and would advise anyone wanting to book some good accomodation to try the Yorkshire Hotel - you won't be dissappointed.More
