We stayed one night at Arden House, we were greeted by very pleasant, friendly lady who checked us in.First impressions of the lounge and dinning area was very impressive. Our room was fine, only we did find the shower to be a bit on the small side. Also the bedding was basic.
Breakfast was excellent one of the best we have had in a long time. Were made very welcome by all the staff.

Excellent room with everything you could need from a bed & breakfast.Clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. 10 mins walk to the centre of Harrogate. Quiet tree-lined area. First class hospitality. Very friendly and welcoming hostess, who cooked up an excellent breakfast.Friendliness also extended to other staff members.Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Front rooms have lovely large bay windows.

We booked a fairly last-minute one-night stay as the start of our honeymoon in Yorkshire. We welcomed the call from the manageress en route to see how our journey was going, which also meant that they were waiting for us on arrival. Nice clean and quiet room with good facilities - the bathroom was on the small side but was what we had expected, so no disappointment there. Very handy for Harrogate itself - just a 10-minute stroll through pleasant surroundings, which means you can leave the car at the hotel and avoid the town centre parking fees. Excellent breakfast, and we appreciated (but didn't need to use) the very reasonably priced honesty bar. Friendly atmosphere all round, and having had a puncture on the M1 on the way up, we were grateful for advice on the best place to get the tyre repaired before we set off on the rest of our journey. Would definitely recommend this venue as the base for a weekend sampling the delights of Harrogate (including Betty's Tea Rooms!)

We stayed at Arden House, which is about 10 minute walking distance from the town. Our stay was during the week of the Yorkshire Show in a double room on the top floor. The window of our room faced out from the front of the property with a pretty view of the tree lined road below. Parking available either at the rear or side of the property but we chose to park on the roadside at the front of the property - and parking secured by use of a parking permit which is made available to all guests. The shower room was a bit small, but not the be all and end of everything. After all we didn't go to Harrogate to spend our time in a shower room! The basin was in the bedroom, but this was preferred by us, especially when filling up the kettle for tea & coffee making facilities. The weather was extremely hot during our stay and consequently our room, especially being on the top floor was very warm during the night. We mentioned it to Bev and she provided us with an electric fan which solved the issue. Our room was clean with a more than comfortable king-sized bed which was more than welcomed and a bit of a treat!!! Lovely, homely accommodation with superb breakfasts that set us up for the day. Our only regret was not having the time to take advantage of the 'honesty bar' which we thought was a lovely idea. Nothing was too much trouble - thus ensuring a relaxed and more than welcomed break. Very many thanks once again Karen & Colin (Lincolnshire)
