Visited this bar again and it delivered 4 artists over the evening. The bar reasonably priced and to say it offers good enterainment it's a must if you like live music. The atmosphere is always plesent with a range of young and old visiting. Two artists who played while we were there stood out,one guy who played slide guitar and a young lad who wrote his own songs which were really really good. So the bar is not just about the same old same old its up to date with its acts and music mix. Great night out.

Paul Middlelon's Angst Band .. played on the Wednesday night . All accomplished musicians with original songs and varied styles . An absolute joy from start to finish . Atmosphere was so friendly and easy going. Folks were up for dancing , the bar was rocking . Paul Middleton has etched his own original style and pathos throughout the set . The Alan Bennett of the Blues world. I salute you sir !!

Good fun, tiny venue. Packed to the rafters when we arrived after 9pm on Saturday night (June 2, 2012). Guest seven-piece Bradford ska/reggae band Natural Rhythm had 'em dancing on the tables, chairs and stairs - and played three (or was it four?) encores 'til late.
Shoulder-to-shoulder crowd very friendly. Excellent ceiling fans and air con kept us all cool. Good choice of well kept real ale. Bar owned by same people who run Duck & Drake, one of Leeds's best music venues/real ale pubs.
Hotel (Hotel du Vin) waitress told us next morning that there's a tiny but excellent Egyptian restaurant upstairs (the Blue Nile). Restricted hours but we'll suss that one out next time.
Recommended.
