I am delighted that your early impressions of our wedding coordinators are good: we are here to give prospective brides, grooms and everyone involved in the planning of the wedding day day all the help and support that we can and it's our job to ensure that your wedding day delivers everything you want - and more. We love our job! May the sun bless you with its presence on the big day.

The one hour guided tour of the castle is excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the history of the castle come alive (and fun!) He recommended a walk around the lake afterwards (it takes about 40 mins) and it was good advice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit which was complimentary because we stayed at the Boars' Head Hotel next door to the Castle and owned by the same family.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit to Ripley. This year spring has come exceptionaly late due to the exceptionally cold spell of weather: the daffodils and narcissi, which would normally be out in their thousands by now, are only just beginning to bloom and the National Hyacinth Collection is still a few days from blooming. Come back and see us when everything's out - it will look different again.

Even though it was very cold, it was a lovely walk through the grounds, not too long about 45mins,but a lot longer could be spent here in the summer. We did not go in the house, but paid a visit to the tea room for lunch. The food was fine although I thought it a bit overpriced.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your day out at Ripley: it has been hard work to get the place looking tip-top this year thanks to all the cold weather that we have had, but now that spring has finally reached North Yorkshire things should move very quickly. Come back and see us when the weather is a bit warmer and the gardens and grounds are bursting with colour.

Well worth a visit with a guided tour and very informative guide, finishing with a visit to the top floor where the priests hole is located.

Thanks for making the time to give us your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit to Ripley and hope that you will pay us another visit before too long. The gardens and grounds change dramatically with the seasons, and the views across the lake are always spectacular. We have also got a busy programme of events this year, so keep an eye on our website for details

i would like to warn anyone visiting this attraction to be aware that it is a guided tour around the house only! they will not be told on entry & i would hate them to face the humiliation from staff like we did on our visit yesterday! (easter sunday).......I took my mum & 4 year old grandaughter as a special easter treat....on purchasing the tickets on entry we were told they was a guided tour at 12pm...we believed this to be an option & not compulsory....we viewed gardens first then went to the house at 3pm...we were let in whilst a guided tour was taking place...we could not hear or see because of the volume of people so we decided to by pass them! we then went upstairs where we were greeted by the most rudest man i have ever met in my life...he asked who we was with then shouted at us saying we were not allowed to walk around on our own! i did apologise but he then sternly asked how we had got in then said we would have to leave.....obviously jumping to conclusions thinking we had not paid he was throwing us out humiliating us in front of other visitors....it was bad enough seeing my 68yr old mother embarased & scrambling to find her receipt to prove our innocence i then had to explain to my 4 year old grandaughter who was scared & kept asking me why that mister had told us off....we did leave & got full refund but i would like to advise ripley castle to send staff on a course teaching good manners & social skills....i again apologise for our mistake but i never expected to be treated & spoke too like that.......we will not be returning x

We have dealt with this matter direct with the correspondent and the member of staff concerned. There were misunderstandings on both sides but the situation wasn't managed as well as we would have liked at the time and we hold our hands up for that. Anyone looking at the vast volume of visitor feedback that we have received on Tripadvisor will appreciate that we generally do much better than this, and can rest assured that lessons have been learned - and normal service resumed!
