Friday 15th Feb I went here for my wife's birthday and have to say the food was excellent!
Our order was bruschetta and antipasti to start! Sea bream and fillet steak for main with a bottle of montepulciano!
The cost of this was £63 which for a town centre restaurant of this quality was totally worth it!
Boom early to avoid disappointment as it was very busy

The owners should watch Gordon Ramsey. Good restaurants are about good quality food not huge menu choice. That just leads to mediocrity at best. The claim that this restaurant is inspired by southern Italy seems hard to believe, after having myself spent time in that part of Italy. The starter of tiger prawns, priced at £7 were neither Tiger or fresh. I ordered a main of halibut. What was served was a fillet of white fish, smothered in a white sauce, covered with tiny prawns? Southern Italian. I beg to differ. My partner's steak was equally bland. We passed the opportunity to have dessert and the bill for two courses and a bottle of white wine came, with tip to £65. The waitress service was efficient but none of the staff were Italian and apart from the piped Italian music I didn't find that authentic Italian atmosphere other reviewers had experienced.

Came here for a friend's leaving do, the food was gorgeous, service brilliant and a very relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely return again as I'd love to try more things on their menu, I found it very hard to choose on the night as everything sounded great. I would reccomend this place for any occasion and even though a relatively small restaurant, they catered for our group very well.

You might want pizza... you may want pasta... but this restaurant will give you SO much more!! It's a proper taste of Italy with authentic dishes and a decent wine list to match. Lucia and Franco are a delight - I'd just returned from 2 months in Venice and was absolutely desperate for a REAL pasta - I was not disappointed. Dodge the fake Italian places nearby and get invited into the kitchen, browse the small library, take a prosecco at the bar. You won't regret it ;-)
