“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

I stayed at the kimberley for one night on a KGB Voucher deal for £59 which included breakfast and bottle of wine on arrival. I went with my partner and our 2 year old daughter (who was allowed to come at no extra cost).

The reception staff were very welcoming on arrival, we were allocated one of their deluxe rooms (No 3002) which was allocated in the exterior building. The room was absolutely beautiful and very spacious, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. We requested a travel cot when we booked and that was all set up and ready for us too.

The hotels location is great and only 5 mins walk into the centre, there are loads of restaurants in the area so you are spoilt for choice if you like to eat out.

Our full English breakfast in the morning was lovely. The food area was maybe a little cramped as other people have said in reviews but it isn't a problem really and the staff were willing to help in any way possible.

I would most definitely recommend this hotel and I can't wait to go back and stay again as soon as we get the chance.

We recently stayed for two nights on a kgb deal.
Check in and check out was quick and efficient and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was quite large with a seperate area leading to the bathroom that also had a large wardrobe in it which could almost be described as a seperate dressing area.
The bathroom was large and had a bath and shower and both the bathroom and bedroom were clean and tidy.
The hotel is conveniently located and is only a 5 minute walk into the town.
Breakfast is a buffet style service which had a good selection and was of good quality.
Our only gripe would be the fact that they charge £6 per night for car parking, you would think that as you are paying to stay in the hotel the parking should be included.
There is on road parking outside the hotel between 6pm and 9am, it is a controlled permit zone outside of these hours though.
We would recommend the hotel and would consider staying again should we return to Harrogate

After having been here last year, we were very disappointed , our room was small shoddy and tired looking, and all you could hear was doors being opened and shut all the time. We were moved to an executive room!! after complaining the room was bigger as was the bed and bathroom, there was nothing executive about it, same tired decor and dusty and bathroom not the cleanest. Once again very noisy doors slamming hoover going, when you come back from a day of sight seeing, you want to relax in your room or have a litttle sleep absoloutley no chance of this breakfast good but not great buffet lukewarm, Alll in all a very disappointing stay and we would not go back again.

The hotel is situated only 5 minutes from the main restaurants and 10 minutes from the shopping centre.
Hotel rooms (annex) are very nice and the decor looks very new and attractive.
Amenities in the room are excellant.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Choice at breakfast was excellant and enough choice for anyone.
We will definately return and would recommend for a short stay in Harrogate.

Room Tip: Stay in the annex at the back of the main hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights 18-19th Feb, deal with KGB voucher meant £100 B&B double room and evening meal first night. Room was comfy but small, bed comfortable and toilet clean but in need of some TLC. Evening meal was fantastic with a 3 course dinner on offer or anything off main menu upto value of £15. Nice bar area with good selection of drinks incl. draft. The car park cost £6 per day however it is normally full and dosnt seem sufficient size for hotel. All staff friendly especially Aussie barman. Location is great as only 5 min walk to town, recommend the Hungry Badger for a nice pint and good food. Also Italian opposite conference centre which does an early bird menu before 7pm.

Room Tip: Some rooms are in annex not connected to main hotel, be careful if out for day in car you may not ge...

Stayed here for 2 nights on a groupon deal. The hotel is really lovely & stayed in room 2101 which was gorgeous and the bathroom very boutique. The room wasn't ready for our 2pm checkin but we went for a wander in to the town and when we arrived back a couple of hours later we had our room. The walk into town takes 10 mins if your are just strolling along. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, came down and had to wait about 20mins to be seated as there are just not enough tables. Once seated tea/coffee/toast was served quickly. The buffet breakfast is good but not replenished quickly enough and lots of waiting for the different items, in the end I just went away with sausage, egg & beans but what I did eat was really good. Didn't bother with breakfast on the 2nd day due to this. The only thing that seemed to let the hotel down was breakfast but wouldn't hesitate to go back. All in all an excellent stay.

My partner and I stayed there last year we had a huge room with a beautiful bathroom and a very comfy bed. We had a meal in the restaurant, it was a taster menu which was nice but would probably go for the full 3 course next time. We had some lovely wine, the waiter kept the wine in the fridge and came to top our glasses up when they were getting low which was a nice touch. The breakfast the next morning was lovely and plenty of it too. The location is great with only a 5 minute walk in to the centre, the only downside would be paying for parking. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be back!!

If you can try The Brasserie Restaurant it's only a short walk away and the food is amazing.
