The last review by McWebb " well situated , high standard BB" took the words right out of my mouth! My only other comment on rooms would be that I found it a little hot at night but as the windows in our room ( which faced the back and had no noise issues ) opened this was no problem. The sausages at breakfast deserve a mention all of their own and do not seem to have grabbed the headlines they deserve so far!

We were attending a conference at the HIC and this hotel was just across the road. The check in process was great and even though the owners don't live on site, they're involvement and thoughtfulness is in evidence everywhere. Room was snug but that's what these old houses are like. Beautifully clean, new and modern fittings made it feel much more upmarket than a B&B. the shower in our room(5) was particularly good.

Breakfast was cooked to order and there was a good selection of fruit, yoghurts, toast and cereals. Overall, highly recommended!

We spent 2 nights at The Arc in clean and comfy surroundings. The hotel is decorated in a very modern contemporary style which we really liked. The location is brilliant being easy to find and very close to the town centre. It's within walking distance of the tourist information centre and almost everything else you may want to enjoy a short break in Harrogate. From the Turkish baths and Betty's teashop to Valley Garden's and many significant historical locations.

As has been pointed out in a few reviews it's also directly opposite the Harrogate International Centre.

We were in room 3 which is directly facing the HIC. We noticed we could hear the traffic on the main (king's) road quite a bit. We weren't in too much so it didn't worry us really plus there have to be some downsides to being in such a central location. Also, there are no net curtains or frosting on the ample windows so the blinds have to be closed if you'd like some privacy. Our bathroom was compact with a mini basin and a shower and was very clean and nicely decorated to a high standard.

We didn't have breakfast so met the owner when we checked out. She was very pleasant and approachable. She was also understanding and apologetic about the problems we'd had with getting parked on arrival - our spot at the rear was taken and we didn't initially understand the parking system. It took us a while after arriving asking passers by and a local takeaway and a hotel guest to figure out where and how to park on the surrounding roads!

Room Tip: Room 3 is at the front of the hotel which is on the main Kings Road. With large windows that are no...

This is a great place to stay in Harrogate - an easy few minutes walk from the centre, and juts opposite the exhibition centre.

It's only small - 8 rooms - so don't expect big hotel facilities. However, the decor is to a superb standard. Very modern and contemporary and very well maintained.
Flat screen TV, and tea / coffee facilities in the room, together with free wifi access gives you most of what you are likely to need during your stay.

We had room no. 2 at the back (nice and quiet) - it's not massive, but the space is used very well and served our needs very well. En-suite bathroom was very clean and modern, and supplied with a nice range of toiletries.

Check in was self service as the owners don't live on the premises; we were given a code to get through the door, where we collected out room key. This worked perfectly well. There is limited parking on site, but there are (free) permits available to allow you to park on some nearby streets.

Breakfast was very nice - cooked fresh and to individual requirements.
Owners were friendly and helpful and obviously take a great deal of care and pride in what they do. The place is a credit to the hard work they obviously put in.

I would certainly stay here again

Fantastic service and the owner, Lisa, was lovely and welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Nothing was too much trouble. Lots of personal touches that other hotels dont offer. Toiletries in the bathroom were of high standard. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was immaculate. It was my first stay in Harrogate and I loved it..
Breakfast was beautifully cooked and served and presented with what you would expect from a 5 star.. The beds were comfy and the rooms were lovely and warm.
Excellent decor throughout, you can tell it's been tastefully thought out.
I would not hesitate to go back, it's easy to walk into the town and there are permits provided for the road parking. (we didn't need them as we had gone on the train, but we thought it was nice little extra touch!)
All in all, a little gem of a place!! Thank you for a lovely stay...
