“Very comfortable stay”
Reviewed December 9, 2012

We spent 2 nights in Alamah Guest House. We have stayed here before. Always a warm welcome from Judy and Sue. Location is perfect, near to all amenities. Breakfast is perfect, plenty to choose from. Very reasonable rates, easy online booking. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, we have had room number two. Bathroom was just renewed. We highly recommend Alamah Guest House for a nice and comfortable stay.

Room Tip: Room 2 is a cosy and quiet room.

Just spent 2 nights at the Alamah and found it very comfortable and Judy and Sue made us feel really at home. The Guest House is a large Victorian villa which is tastefully decorated and the bedroom we were in, No.2, was clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was delicious and served cheerfully by Sue. Only a few minutes away from the HIC and a short walk to the centre of Harrogate shops - we will be back.

Room Tip: Room 2 was nice and quiet.

I spent 4 nights in Harrogate this month and thoughly enjoyed staying at Alamah.A warm freindly welcome the whole place is spotless the room I stay in was the single and I was as snug as a bug
The breakfast is perfect and plenty to choose from.I highly recommend anyone to add Alamah at the top of any lists when looking to stay in Harrogate
For me yes cleanliness and good food is essential to making any stay anywhere a good experience but if the host are not friendly welcoming then all would be a little lost but no worries here Judy and Sue are a delight and made my stay so delightful
Thank you both for a wonderful stay and hope to return in the new year .Excellent

Room Tip: Just ask Sue or Judy you cant go wrong here

I head to Harrogate for a trade show every year and always try and find myself a nice little B&B. Booked the Alamah based on the very reasonable rates and the reviews below. Can't say a lot more than has already been written. Judy and Sue very welcoming and the room was incredibly clean and comfortable. And the breakfast was excellent. Will be back next year for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Alamah and at £70 per night, it's cheaper than many of the other B&Bs in the area so why stay anywhere else?! As previous guests have observed, everything was utterly spotless including the shower room (no sign of mould anywhere) which is so important (and quite rare!) nowadays. Judy & Sue were excellent hosts and provided everything you need for a short break from fluffy white towels, ample stocked drinks tray (including free bottled water) and a great cooked breakfast with lovely views overlooking the tree lined street. It's in an excellent location just minutes away from the centre which means you can leave your car in the free parking area at the back. We will definitely stay at the Alamah again and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8 which was quite small but cosy, clean & quiet

This was a lovely guesthouse, the rooms were comfortable and had everything you could want after a long day sightseeing and shopping in and around Harrogate. The en-suite shower was spotless, as was the room. Sue was the perfect waitress while Judy cooked breakfast just the way you like it. This is the perfect place to stay it you wish to visit lots of places, including York or Knaresborough. We will certainly be back.

I had a wonderful two night stay at the Alamah. I shared the top floor family room with two friends. The room was clean, bright, spacious, and had excellent refreshments inside. The bathroom was spotless and the shower invigorating. Our hosts made every effort to make us feel welcome, down to catering for our vegetarian diets at breakfast. The hotel is a short, pleasing walk to the shops, sites of interest, and the hotel housing the annual crime writers event. For those who prefer there is a bus route directly outside, and a taxi to town would only cost £4. I cannot commend this establishment highly enough.

Room Tip: I was able to get the family room for 2 nights even though on the first night there were only 2 of u...
