My wife and I visit Graveleys approximately every 2 months and our visit there last week prompted me to write a little about it.
There are many Fish and Chip restaurants and cafes throughout Yorkshire and in view of its status as being a bit posh, it is perhaps surprising that Harrogate is home to the best of them all within our experience.
A wide range of fish are offered such as lobster, sea bass, turbot , dover sole and swordfish but we usually have traditional fish and chips.
The seniors menu offers two courses for less than £10 and this includes a starter (e.g. delicious prawn cocktail) bread and butter and a pot of Yorkshire tea. Home made puddings,(such as fruit crumble or Pavlova) are offered for an modest additional charge.
The ambience is much more restaurant than café and this, together with the friendly and efficient service all combine to make Graveleys well worth a visit.
