We love this restaurant but things were not quite up to standard yesterday, firstly let me say that our starter and main course were simply scrumptious, however the service was dreadfully slow as indeed it was the last time Mark wasn't in. We had to ask for our sweet, even though the restaurant was quite empty, which had been left languishing in the kitchen. Now regarding the sweet, it sounded good on paper strawberry cheesecake, with mint icecream and a pimms dip. The dip tasted dreadful, it was bitter and inedible. The cheesecake was plastic tasting with what appeared to be a similar sort of coating to the dip, oh dear who thought this was a good idea? And did THEY taste it? I mentioned this to the waitress who appeared to suggest that it was our taste buds that were deficient. Finally we asked for coffee floaters but ended up with coffee in cups with cream to pour in. Oh dear what a shame and it was my birthday too:(
