Have stayed here quite a few times now and have had no problems, However this last time we were in room 103 which we found out is above the kitchens and were woken up at 3 am by the noise of the freezers below, when i complained to reception they knew where the noise was but could not do nothing about it other than move us at 3 am. If you do stay here and are offered rooms 101/103 or 105 then unless you are a heavy sleeper ask for another room. Other than this this is a good hotel with nice staff and facillitys

Room Tip: keep away from r00ms 101,103,105 as they are above the freezers if you are a light sleeper you will...

I am a big fan of Premier Inn - everything I want in a hotel (clean, comfortable, nice hot shower, wireless broadband, decent enough food, no hassle) at the lowest cost humanly possible. Nothing fancy, but everything right.

The Premier Inn by Junction 16 (A1(M)) fits the usual model. The only mild irritant was there is no sign by the main road, so when you come off the motorway, you go whizzing by unless happen to look hard left at the relevant time (hint, it really is the very first left turn after you leave the roundabout). The staff say they know about the problem, but the local council refuses to permit them to put a sign on the main road. Oh well, I'll know better for next time.

I worried that being so close to the motorway I would hear the noise of traffic all night, but I have to say, I didn't hear a thing. Good night's kip.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 10 month old baby this weekend. The night staff were lovely when we checked in - our room was tidy and clean but it was located on the first floor which was a bit of a pain with a baby as there was no lift and it was a bit of a problem to be constantly carrying a heavy pram up and downstairs but only a minor fault really.
The breakfast was lovely and worth the money but the showers in our room were absolutely freezing cold I ran it for a good 15 - 20 mins but it didnt warm up at all...I don't know if it was broke or if it was because everyone in the hotel decided to have a shower at the same time lowering the water pressure. I reported this to a very rude woman on reception who basically told me in front of other guests that no one else had reported showers and implied that I must be a liar she then would not help further which mean that me, my husband and baby (who had stayed there in between a 10 hours journey) had to go without showers the whole day until we arrived with family. It was a pain because we had been on the road ages, had a rough night with the baby and I was really looking forward to having a nice refreshing shower instead I left feeling pretty disgusting the rest of the day!

Room Tip: If you're traveling with a baby ask for ground floor rooms

Overall a good place to stay - was once a Poste House - circular design makes rooms a bit small and odd shaped ! Suggest staying on ground floor if you don't like steep stairs - one set per two rooms in spoke layout !
As ever firm mattresses - a boon for those of us with back problems ( v the hell of Travelodge soft mattresses).
Great service overall = staff very helpful. Self service breakfast means some of hot food not hot enough - in fact cool bacon and sausage !

Make sure you turn up at the correct Premier Inn - we didn't - there are 4 in the area.

I really like this hotel, it's my second visit. The rooms are comfortable, clean and of the usual high standard one expects from this consistent chain Premier. It is ideally situated on the A1M just outside Peterborough.

It has a very pleasant Thyme restaurant located within the hotel, really good if you are a female lone traveller. Staff are happy to provide you with your food on a take away tray. So no room service as such but if you are willing to forego the delivery you can comfortably eat in your room.

Room Tip: The circular rooms in the main block are unusual and comfortable!

Was traveling up north from south with 2 young children, this is right on the motorway, but as soon as your inside you can't hear the road. Friendly staff and perfectly good rooms. Great for families.

Stayed here for one night to break a long journey with my daughter in a twin room. Excellent location being just off A1. Not the normal looking Premier Inn from the outside but that makes it quite qwerky. Inside normal Premier Inn interior with added bonus of three vending machines in lobby. Yes there's no lift but there's only one other floor so if you aren't on ground floor its only one flight up with your cases. No complaints with room and had a lovely night sleep. Only negative is the breakfast which is normally lovely at the Premier inns but unfortunately here was extremely cold. They really need to get the hot plates sorted out as food would have been lovely but for £8.50 you really do expect at least warm food whereas mine was bordering on freezing. That said we are staying again in few days on our return journey so hopefully it was just bad luck and we'll get the normal lovely breakfast which I've came to expect when staying at a Premier Inn !!
