“Great beer, good food”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

Was the brewery tap of Oakham Ales, though beer is no longer brewed on site. The brewery started in 1993 in Oakham, moving to Peterborough in 1998. The pub naturally features Oakham's Jeffrey Hudson Bitter (JHB), Bishops Farewell, Oblivion, and my favourite, Inferno, as well as any seasonals being produced. As well as around six of their own ales up to another six changing guests from other small breweries are stocked, along with a range of draught and bottled continental beers and lagers.
There's been quite a trend of pubs offering up Thai food in recent years. Whilst not the best I've come across, this is above average. Prices are reasonable. One can see - at least the head and shoulders - of the chefs working in the glass-fronted kitchen upstairs. There are a various helpful symbols on the menu to guide those less familiar with Thai dishes as to what they are getting.
The pub is a bit on the underlit side, compounded by darkish wood furnishings and flooring.
