Pleasant, relaxed vibe with friendly and attentive staff.
Good value for money 2 people with 3 courses plus drinks + rum (from an extensive range) = the same price as some home delivered Pizza with sides and a bottle of wine.
Food is varied across the Afro-Carribean and African Spectrum with some stand out dishes, it makes you want to eat your way across the menu - perhaps Embe should consider doing taster menu's.
Try the salt fish - the balance of salt, sweetness and heat is spot on and definitely try the trifle (with its Jamaican twist) and try the jerk chicken (the blonde says nom nom nom)
Constructive criticisms are some of the food was a little salty when it didn't need to b (e.g. vegetable jambalaya). This is a shame as the underlying flavours are really very very good.
Also although spotlessly clean the cloakrooms need a little bit of love.
