I stayed here at the bull for one night on business. The location is good being a short walk from the train station. The hotel is a lovely old building and full of charm. The room was spotlessly clean and well presented. The only downside was the price at £145 per night - it is quite pricey.

What a lovely hotel we went with the peel promotion deal. The room was fabulous in particular my husband loved the "office" where he managed to conduct some of his business. The staff and the food was great. But it was made special by the presentation of my husbands birthday cake which took him totally by surprise. The cake was delicious well done staff. We are hoping that this will not be our last stay

The Bull is housed a lovely old building smack bang in the centre of Peterborough. There is free parking for guests.
The layout is very interesting, the room numbers appeared haphazard, and the corridors were like a labyrinth.
Our room was on the back of the hotel. The small window was glazed with frosted glass. There was air con/heating that was controllable from the room.
The bed was large, but rather springy, and the pillows were quite hard and not terribly comfortable.
The bathroom had a bath with shower over, sink, loo, and lovely soft towels, and a variety of toiletries.
In the room was a fridge , a trouser press, a flat screen TV, and tea and coffee making facilities.
The breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty to choose from. Oddly there was a waiter serving the hot stuff which seemed a little pointless. Perhaps it helped control portion sizes?
All the staff we met were absolutely lovely, kind, and helpful.
We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The hotel oozes character and olde worlde charm, and we very much enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Remember though that this is a very old building and the walls are thin, but despite that the ambience is so good we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Peterborough.
.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have large double beds so be sure to ask for one when you book if that is important to...

Dear fbis,
Thank you for your review, and we are delighted that you had such a good time while staying with us. There is however one thing, which is the matter that you raised regarding our serving the hot aspect of the buffet breakfast. This is done to prevent the risk of any guest burning themselves when choosing food from the buffet, no other reason, and guests are very welcome to have as much, or as little as they like when choosing from the f foods on display.
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Kind regards,

My wife and I arrived at 3.00 pm for afternoon tea. The dining room was clean and tidy with all the tables properly laid. The meal consisted of a pot of tea (refillable) salmon and cucumber sandwiches ( choice of three fillings), scones with cream and jam, fancy cakes and a small lemon cheesecake. All the food was fresh and of a high quality. The service was excellent. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

Room Tip: Did not stay overnight.

We stayed for 3 nights ( 2 Exec Rooms) on the Easter Break Package. Very very good value for money . staff very friendly and welcoming, food very good and a very comfortable stay . We are already looking to possibly go back with a bigger group for New Years Eve. From booking via e-mail till departure was a pleasure staying. First time in a long time a hotel in the UK has been so good!

The Bull Hotel is very central and the perfect place from which to visit the fantastic cathedral; I was there on my bicycle and the staff could not have been more helpful in looking after it safely and retrieving it for me in the morning. The Bull is a welcome relief after the Peterborough streets and the lobby has some surprising and very interesting paintings. The standard room is correct in every way with excellent wifi. I also ate dinner there with extremely nice staff and a superb butternut squash frittata.
