Stayed here on 31st December 2012. Just really a one night getaway. Also booked in conjunction the Harvester Next Door( Lovely Food). Booked for only £44. A bargain I think. Really lovely and clean when you walk through the door. Great impression.
Booking in process very efficient, and both the receptionist and and Late assistant, fantastic customer service.
Room very clean and fresh along with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast reasonably good quality, and really ample for a morning treat,, especailly for the price you pay. Limited drinks from the bar on offer, could improve the range a little.
Had a adapted room. Space is very tight, wheelchair just about squeezed in, but left very little room same with the bathroom. Just certain items placed in the wrong positions, but we mentioned this to the duty persons to make notes.
Just wish people who roll in really late after partying or venturing out would not make so much noise, but that happens to many hotels we visit, so is expected.
Overall I would recommend
Needs a few improvements, as people have different type of disabilities, so need to really look at all possible options. This really stopped me from giving it 5 marks.
I would venture back if they could improve the things I mentioned, but overall had a good time, and chilled out. Dont let these points raised put you off. In a quiet area, so wont get disturbed too much as its about 3 miles to City Centre. Nice out of town hotel. ENJOY....

Another good stay at this "budget" hotel, staff are always friendly, rooms are of a good standard and always nice and clean. Standard breakfast which is always OK. In house food is limited but you can order in, there is a harvester thing within a 2 min walking distance and slightly further a field a nice pub in the village.

The only downside to this hotel is, whoever designed it didn't consider a lift, so if you have many bags, it is a slight pain getting to the first floor

We stayed here for one night whilst working in the area. The room was standard HIE fare, not really much different to a travelodge. Breakfast was below par - a very limited selection and lukewarm at best. There was free car parking and a Harvester next door for dinner in the evening. Wireless is free but only for one device per room so if two of you want to work or surf one person has to pay £12. I really don't understand why hotels continue to charge such exorbitant fees for internet access, £12 is more than most people pay for a full month!
Anyway, the hotel was ok but the combination of wireless costs, poor breakfast and the room price of £81 made it very poor value for money.

The rooms are of the typical Holiday Inn Express design and are clean, comfortable and spacious enough. Breakfast is the usual buffet - not brilliant but adequate enough. Staff are very friendly and always eager to help.
The hotel is just off the A1 but far enough away not to hear it. In fact it is very quiet. Adjacent to the showground it is very close to Peterborough itself and only a few minutes drive from the Nene Valley Railway (signposted off the A1 nortn of the hotel) and where you can catch a glimpse of the original "Thomas the Tank engine" and take a ride on one of the steam trains operating on the line in season.
Best place to eat is The Squirrel, a five minute walk away but it gets busy and booking is best. There is a pub/eatery next to the hotel aswell.

Easy to find and get to. Room was comfortable with a decent shower with a powerful jet of water.

Since the last time I stayed, the TVs have been upgraded to flat screens with freeview channels, so plenty of dross to flick through!!

Managed to get a rate which included business internet which reduced my ire about having to pay over the odds for the internet, although why I have to reconnect every so often because I have reached an upload limit in a session is bemusing.

Staff were friendly, especially Mick, the Duty Manager, who always seemed to be about and was just great.

I have just stayed here for one night. It is easy to find just off A1 (opposite the Marriott) and next to the East of England showground & a modern housing estate next door!

It has a small but adequate car park and the exterior of the hotel is stone clad (tastefully done). I believe that the hotel is one floor only but do not think it has a lift.

The staff are friendly and there are board games etc. available from reception and even a cash point in reception although i imagine it charges! My room was nice with a modern shower but my my view was not the best of the housing estate next door.

I would stay again

Room Tip: All quiet surroundings outside so not a problem whether car park or housing estate. i imagine rooms...

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express 3 nights and found it to be convenient for our business requirements. Some points need to be addressed: the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the coffee at breakfast was almost undrinkable and the paid internet is too expensive;the price of 12 pounds for 24 hours compared to 3 pounds for 24 hours by a competing hotel chain.
