We stayed for 2 nights at the Riverside B&B. We were greeted by Jacqui who was so friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat and go for walks. She was great.
The room as so lovely, it has a large comfy bed, spiral staircase to the upstairs with a free standing bath and showerhead!
Towels were provided and we even had a lovely cake made for us by Jacquis mother-in-law. That went down a treat on our anniversary, whilst drinking a glass of wine sat looking out over the waterfall. Gorgeous. We ate at the Red Lion on the Friday night and the Coach & Horses on the Saturday, both within walking distance. We also done some lovely walks along the canal. Beautiful little village and would definitely go back.
Amazing space! We stayed for two nights but I wish it could have been longer. The room is even better than pictured with loads of elegant touches to make it feel extra luxurious. There's also a very comfy bed and gorgeous roll top bath! The space is well situated for great walks and amazing views, and there's a bus stop a couple of minutes away so you can manage without a car. Would definitely recommend!
I was surprised with a romantic weekend here back in January and had the most amazing stay. The place itself is beautiful - loved the log fire, roll top bath and all the small touches like the blankets, furnishings, breakfast, welsh cakes, fruit etc.
The apartment is also situated in the most gorgeous location, the view of the river right outside the front door is stunning. Amazing walks nearby along the canal and in the hills.
Following on from this, my family and I booked the place as a gift for my mum and partner as a 'mini moon' they had a wonderful time and visited the waterfalls and also did lovely walks. They literally haven't stopped raving about it since!
This place really has the wow factor so get booking!
A lovely setting with views to the cascading river - hence the 'sounds'. Jacqui is a very friendly and welcoming host, and her lovely dog joins in with the welcome. The accommodation is spacious and airy with everything you need in a well designed area. The wood burner is very cozy if you need it. The local area is wonderful for walking, with stunning countryside and views, and it is not far to the Brecon Beacons and various towns of interest.
We had a very relaxing time hear and were very sad to leave

Tucked away in one the most amazing and beautiful national parks is River Sound! The most adorable cottage I have personally been in! When we arrived, Jacqui and John came out to greet us and were so warm and friendly. Jacqui show us around the cottage and helped us find the places to go to see. She was also so helpful during the the stay and provided everything that we needed (extra food items for dinner and more fire wood). We loved playing the piano at night and kept warm next to the fire. Such a magical experience!! We will be back as soon as we get time to do so! As we both travel to many places in the world we were very impressed with the Brecon Beacons and put it on our revisit list and plan to stay at River Sound once more.
