“Our stay was fantastic!”
Reviewed May 23, 2006

We just returned from our trip to Ireland and I can assure you every review that I read about Wicklow Way Lodge was so true. We had a lovely stay and only wish we could have stayed longer.

The rooms were outstanding. Great view, plenty of room, very clean and the beds were so comfortable.

Marilyn was the perfect hostess and I will have to say her porridge was the best. I still think of it and wish I could have a bowl every morning. If I ever return to Ireland I will definitely stay again and one of the main reasons would be to have breafast with her. She is an excellent cook.

Wicklow Way Lodge is a must. Not only is the lodge outstanding but the location is so convenient to Powerscourt Gardens, Glendalough and several other beautiful sites.

Thank you Marilyn for a wonderful visit.

Ambience, Hospitality, Tranquility, Outstanding Natural Beauty, Luxury, This place has it all.
Having stayed in luxury hotels all over Ireland this Guest House was the jewel in the crown, The welcome we got was as big as the spectacular mountain viewed from our bedroom window. The breakfast was just unbelievable and sustained us for the rest of the day. Cant wait to return and cant recommend highly enough.

I read the glowing reviews on this place when I was looking for a place to stay for a long weekend. They were right on the money.

The woman who runs the lodge, Marilyn, is lovely and extremely helpful with advice on walks, pubs, restaurants and things to do in the area.

The rooms were a good size, really clean and had beautiful views of either the woodland or the mountains. It was amazingly quiet as well.

Breakfast was included and they reviews were correct - the porridge was lovely!

It's only a 10 minute drive to either Roundwood or Glendalough and was a really nice escape from city life. I would definitely go back and stay at this place.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Lodge. Nothing is too much trouble and a mine of information on the locality and further afield is given freely. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the views, especially from those rooms with an outside deck, were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent and included the best porridge in the world! Our weather was rather wet, but it didn't dampen our spirits and we'd love to return when the countryside is in full bloom.

We stayed at Wicklow Way Lodge at the end of October and cannot recommend it highly enough. Fantastic location with breathtaking views from our room of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Our room was lovely - modern, cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We visited some brilliant places nearby - Glendalough, Powerscourt gardens and waterfall, and went for a lovely walk on the beach at Brittas Bay which is absolutely gorgeous.

Seamus and Marilyn are genuinely lovely people and Seamus saved our lives by taking us to the airport when our hire car broke down!

We chose to stay at the Wicklow Way Lodge following the reviews on this website, and we are so pleased we did. Whilst driving around the area we saw no other B&Bs or hotels that even came close to Wicklow Way Lodge.

We have just returned from 4 days in the Wicklow Mountains. We stayed at the lovely Wicklow Way Lodge B & B where nothing was too much trouble and the accomodation was fabulous. Our room (the family room) was spacious, immaculate and had a balcony and beautiful view of the mountains. Its just 45 mins from Dublin. The Wicklow Mountains are superb and the Irish people so welcoming and friendly. Glendalough is about 15/20 mins away and was lovely and Powerscourt Gardens shouldnt be missed. Good eating places nearby. I recommend Dublin is visited at the weekend when Temple Bar has its wonderful food market and when you can see folk selling their artwork around St Stephens Square.
