“A must visit for anyone wanting to play a world class links course”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

7 golfing friends and I played this course April 20, 2013. We were totally impressed by the layout, the extremely fine conditions, and the beauty of the entire course. I've played a lot of Irish links golf courses and this ranks right at the top of the best. If you are in or around Dublin you have to play this course if you want to play the best!

A special treat....when we played it we were greeted Pat Ruddy, the owner and legandary Irish golf course designer. He designed this course, ownes it and greated us as friends when we checked in...what a nice man and a honor to meet in person....

This was one of the best treats and highlights during our 2 week Irland golfing vacation...

Thanks to Pat and the Euopean Club for a great experience.... Mike O.

“Superb Course”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

The European is a superb course, extremely challenging and immaculately kept. There are some of the top golf holes in the world on this course. Stray right or left and you'll be opening the bag for a new ball!!

“Wow, what a test of golf”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Check your ego at the door, bring lots of balls, suck it up, keep it low and straight and enjoy. Paddy set out to build the toughest links course in the world and he achieved it. Everyone has to play it once. Great views, layout and man on man is it tough. Not only will you lose 6 - 12 balls but there is a pretty good chance you won't find anyone else's either!! go figure. enjoy.....
Not much of a clubhouse though but hey we didn't go there for the food and drink!

“Stunning tough golf course”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

Played The European Club at the weekend and was absolutely blown away by it.
I've been lucky enough to play a few good links courses this year and without doubt the European Clean tops the lot.
Every hole is a challenge and you have to think about each shot, it's not a course where you just take out the driver cos it's a par 4 or 5, you have to think your way around the course and it makes it all the better because of that.

The bunkers which are railway sleeper lined..... somehting I hadn't experience before were a serious challenge!

The rough is savage. There's no other way to explain it. Nine times out of ten if you go into the rough you wont find your ball.... on the upside you do tend to find someone elses ProV 1's!

The course is tough but it's brilliant. It's not very often a course beats you up so emphatically and you still feel good walking off the 18th.

It is very expensive as are all the top links courses but keep your eyes open for an open competition and you can get to play the course for a third of the usual price.

If you're a serious golfer and you get the chance to play this course then do.
You wont be disappointed.

By the way if you look at their website it really doesn't do it justice at all!!!!
