We had a room in the lodge for 2 nights, which had views over the river. The room was clean and comfortable although the bed was not made up after the first night, which we thought was odd especially since the rest of the room had be adequately serviced. Breakfast was included in our package. it is excellent, hearty with plenty to choose from. If breakfast had been not included, we thought the room would have been a little pricey for what it was by UK standards. We ate in the bar one night and again the food was excellent. The staff are friendly and in the bar, we found them quick to chat & attentive.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review, we're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I apologise that your bed was not made up after the first night, this is unusual given that the rest of your room had been serviced, and I will investigate how this was overlooked. We look forward to welcoming you back to Woodenbridge Hotel & Lodge for a return visit.
Kind regards,
Sinéad

I stayed here with my partner and daughter for a family celebration in August and from the phone call I made to include my daughter, the service was exceptionally good and staff extremely helpful and friendly. The occasion was an engagement party and a lovely get together for family from Ireland and those of us who live in the UK. I stayed here about 10 years ago and the Hotel has had a worthwhile make over. Bar, Reception and staff in the restaurant were great, we stayed in the supposedly 'haunted' Glendalough room which was adequate for our stay and having had a few 'spirits' of our own did not notice anything unusual during the night! Breakfast was lovely, served by the very funny waitress (sorry we didn't catch her name) We were lucky with the weather and walking about the surrounding gardens and golf course was a treat. There's nowhere more beautiful than Co Wicklow! I stayed in a Best Western Hotel in Scotland last year but this Hotel beats them hands down for service and Hospitality. We had dinner which was well cooked and priced, unfortunatly the vegetarians were not keen on theirs but that did not detract from the good service and general great time had by all, we have decided that we will have another family reunion here next year!

Got a good last minute DBB deal directly with the hotel.

Location of the hotel is idyllic, overlooking the golf course and the Wicklow mountains behind.

Overall our stay was most enjoyable, lovely traditional Irish bar and good restaurant. Bedroom was lovely, bathroom a little dated, but very clean and I understand upgrades are being done.

Baby friendly hotel, but note there are no lifts to the second floor. Bar food was very good, excellent service and same could be said for the restaurant..probably 7/10 for the food..

Breakfast was pretty good, not a great choice, but your typical fare.

Overall, I would return to this hotel and id say it does a roaring trade with the golf course across the road!

Myself and my partner stayed here last week mainly just for the scenery and that we were passing through. We were given a room in the lodge across the road to which i must admit can only be described as awful and hostel like..so we contacted the hotel and asked to be moved, the hotel rooms in the hotel are completely different and a lot cleaner. If your having food also stick to the bar food, its very good and reasonable, the restaurant food is below standard. We Both had the sea food chowder for a starter which arrived in a canteen bowl and had a film on top obvioulsy from the microwave...it was awful..

Room Tip: Avoid the lodges

Dear guest,
Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal in the Four Vales Bar. I'm disappointed to hear that you found the lodge 'hostel like'. The Lodge is the newer part of the hotel, built in 2004. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily and are equipped with television, telephone, hairdryer, tea / coffee making facilities, and complimentary WiFi access. Twenty of these rooms have their very own balconies. We take complaints regarding our food very seriously, and investigate issues immediately should they arise.
We hope to see you back at Woodenbridge Hotel and Lodge for a return visit.
Kind regards,
Sinéad

Attractive, pleasant ambience and friendly staff - a relaxing place. Enjoy!

Ireland is lovely, County Wicklow is beautiful. Woodenbridge hotel is in county Wicklow, in a lovely spot.

Golf course across the road. Whatever turns you on!

Friendly locals, lots of chat and humour! Great music, some nights! Live and lively or quiet and peaceful, you want it, you've got it!

Parking: great. Good restaurants a short drive away, again in and through beautiful scenery.

Come and see for yourself! We go again and again!

Ask where and how to go, they know!

Their breakfasts are good.

Signed: a couple of blow-ins, David and George
