Hi all, norm I would never leave a review but I said I def would for this hotel. It is a small family run hotel and with all the family values. From the min we checked in we were treated like we were the only ones there. The man in reception was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When we got to our room we were nicely surprised. It was a very large room with french door and balcony off of it, even though we were on the ground floor. It had a large double bed and a single bed in the room. The rooms and en suite were spotless and I would def be very paticular about this. Again all the staff as we met them throughout the hotel all were very friendly. We had lunch in the bar and the food was brilliant. Even though the hotel only has 36 rooms the bar was full. Locals and visitors alike flocked in for food. It was full, which is a very good sign. I tried out the spa then for a facial and again met straight away as I went in the door and the girl introduced herself and was expecting me as she called me by my first name instantly. The facial was 1hr in length and I would def recommend it. She started with a back massage and then the facial along with a head massage, very relaxing.
We booked our meal in the restaurant of the hotel for the night we arrived and again it was very busy. We both had 3 course meal and bottle of wine, the food was faultless. Everything was cooked to perfection. My partner asked for some chips rather than potatoes with his main course but when we were served he got both potatoes and chips. Again this wouldn't happen everywhere! The restaurant staff were super and very professional again nothing was too much trouble for them.
We finished off our night in the bar where there was live entertainment and again the bar was full with both locals and residents of the hotel. The entertainment was irish music and alot of couples were up dancing the night away!
Wexford town is just 2km away and the location was super as at night time it was so quiet compared to the centre of town.
For breakfast the next morn the waitor that was on was the same as the night before and remembered us no prob he asked would we even like the same seat again! How many Irish hotels really take any notice of their guests never mind where they sit in the restaurant!!!! Again very impressed with the food. We tried out the leisure facilities and the pool was spotless very well kept. It also had a jacuzzi and sauna&steam room and gym again all kept very clean and the staff very friendly.
I have to say everything in the hotel was very relaxed and very professional at all times. I would def recommend this hotel to both young and old. It was very homely and made you feel great from start to finish. We will def be back to here.
