“Consistently Excellent!”

We bring our 2 boys to the TM for lunch regularly and it is without fail, the best food in Wexford. The service is excellent and as we are regulars now, the service is very personalised! The kids menu is great - unlike other places that throw on the usual 'chicken nuggets' and other processed rubbish, this is all made from scratch and it is reflected in the flavour - it is a testament to the chef when young kids insist on the same lunch location every time!
For the adults, we have tried a number of places in Wexford and there really is no better. The food is always so well prepared, perfectly seasoned and you just get a sense that care and pride is taken with each plate of food delivered.
The staff are just lovely and attentive and always look after us so well (even before we were regulars ;-))
The only thing that lets the TM down is the decor - it feels a bit too formal and dark during the day - lightening up the decor would make a difference - this is probably why Green Acres is so popular (but I'm all about the food and there is no comparison on that front because it is streets ahead!!)

“Simply the Best”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

Wexford has a wide range of restaurants - but now with a Champion Chef and Superb Service Thomas Moore Outshines them all - we had the best food ever - even beats the Savoy in London
and a LOT more reasonable.

“Top End Cooking!”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

I visited here in a party of four and we had the Early Bird menu which was excellent value with a good choice of dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful ... nothing was too much trouble and an excellent meal was provided for one of our group with a diary allergy. The plat du jour was goose breast and was very well cooked to order. Chicken in a cream sauce was also well cooked and beautifully presented.Excellent flavours all round. Desserts were excellent .... Winter Berry Pavlova with coconut sorbet, Apple Strudel/type dish with ice cream was large and superlative, and the Chocolate Fondant with roasted plum and ginger sorbet was very well received. The meal represented good value for money ... the excellent service and charming staff were the cream on the parfait!! We will have no hesitation in paying this hostelry a return visit.

“Delicous!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We ordered from the bistro menu in the bar, the menu is so unusual and something for everyone. While my friend ordered from the various exotic offerings from the a la carte, a few of us got the set menu deal and one of our party ordered a burger from the very affordable bar menu! Something for everyone. Food was great! Service very friendly! A mistake with our bill when the meals weren't plugged in as set menu meals, but no problem sorting it out. Would definitely be back!

“Just as good second time!!!”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

Visited Thomas Moore tavern last week for the early bird set menu. We arrived to a full restaurant during the busy opera festival but this was no trouble and a table in the "cellar" was reset for us. I had the Wicklow baun cheese in filo with lovely roasted plums (a perfect accompaniment to the rich cheese).I couldn’t pick a fault with it!! next was the "plat du jour" which this night was a French trimmed pork cutlet with ratatouille on a bed of black pudding and potatoes, nicely grilled well-seasoned piece of meat with tasty accompaniments. For dessert I had the berry and chocolate pavlova. A perfect end to an exceptional meal. Excellent service from all members of the waiting staff, good service without being intrusive
