I visited the restaurant on a busy Friday evening. The waitress was very funny and helpful, and recommended Misto Pesce (sp?) and a fabulous wine. It was really exceptional. We were lucky to get a table, so I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation. The food was excellent except for the Tiramisu which was a little tasteless. Other than that, loved it.

This small family run restaurant does not look anything special from outside but we ate (on two occasions during our 3 day stay) some of the best Italian food we have had outside Italy. Simple dishes made memorable by perfect ingredients - a selection of different hams, aged parmesan, delicious mozzarella, an outstanding salad of a selection of fried seafood, homemade ravioli. Drank an excellent Sicilian red wine. When on our second visit something one of us wanted was no longer on the menu they said it was no problem to cook it for us. If there is demand they will stay open late for post-opera suppers during the Festival

Got a voucher for our 1st Wedding Anniversary (got married in Italy so family thought this would be lovely) had been here for dinner about a year and a half ago and absolutely loved it.....hence the voucher! this time however was awful......the American waitress was pleasant but the owner just doesn't make an effort at all. The menu had changed from when we were there last (less on it) and nothing that caught our eye......the food in general was extremely disappointing and everything seemed to be tomato based....very little of anything else. Couldn't wait to order and just get out of there......in order to use up the voucher so we wouldn't have to go back again we ordered a €40 bottle of Amoroni wine...which was delicious!!! But that's about it. Won't be in a rush to go back again....very disappointing.

Visited with family for 'early bird' mid week. Enjoyed the food - all very fresh & tasty in a relaxed, cosy athmosphere. Brought some white wine ( and paid small corkage fee) and bought some red - very nice - good to have this option. Enjoyable evening for all at great value.

Recently visited this restaurant with friends. We booked for the early bird menu priced at €21.95 (four courses). We were greeted by a very pleasant waiter who immediately informed us on the early bird menu and wine list. The house brushetta and vegetarian anti pasta were really tasty - however our favorite was their tomato soup. For mains we had beef strips served on bed of rocket, roasted vegetables and a choice of side order. Tagliatelle with fungi mushrooms, bacon and white wine cream sauce was another choice, both main courses were really tasty. The dessert menu included ice-cream, cheesecake, chocolate fudge cake and apple tart. We finished with coffee. On this occasion, we brought our own wine (small corkage fee). However, the wine list was quite impressive with a good selection of Italian wine with quite few few priced between €18 - €25 euro.
Overall, and for this price, we had a really nice meal, great atmosphere and a friendly service. The chef is Italian as is the waitress. If you like a nice bottle of wine and tasty food, this is the place to go. Our bill came €105 for four persons, this included the corkage of wine and champagne, and bottled water for two.
