This is one tour you do not want to miss. I took part in it in the summer of 2011 and had a great time. The tour offers a comfortable trip through a beautiful part of Ireland with visits to the Hook Head lighthouse, a great walk on the (cliffs! beach and a visit to a beautiful monastery with a great view.

The tour of Hook Head Safari was an absolute delight! Myself and two friends were traveling without public transport (and in the off season) around the Southeast of Ireland and were really eager to see the Hook Lighthouse and Wexford Coastline! Our tour guide Sean arranged a perfect tour for us, stopping at some of the top attractions (we loved Tintern Abbey) and filling the day with hilarious stories, great craic, and even a dram of whiskey! The tour not only surpassed our expectations but made it possible to see one of the most beautiful and undersold pieces of Ireland, not accessible by public transport! I particularly loved the safari jeep transport - it made the day extroidinary and made for a very personalized tour!! Thanks very much to Sean for the exceptional experience and his great knowledge and passion for Ireland! We particularly enjoyed the suggestions on places to go out in Waterford - they were spot on! Cannot wait to visit again as the sunny Southeast was everything we were hoping for and more!

We were amazed to find the cafe and shop at Hook Head Lighthouse open for business in late November and to discover that they are open all the year round. We were still hundreds of miles from home so didn't have time for the tour of the lighthouse but the cafe was clean and very reasonably priced and staff in both the cafe and shop were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We thanked one of them who was at a table eating her own lunch and my wife asked if she knew Wexford. She told us to sign the visitors' book, after which we went out to the foyer to find the lady looking through the literature to find us a free leaflet about Wexford, having left her lunch to help us even though we hadn't expected her to interrupt her break.

It's a long way from anywhere but I was ever there again I would certainly make another visit.
