Great walks, great play park, reasonable cafe, clean toilets. You can spend a good couple of hours here with the kids.

Worth a visit if a nice day.

We found out about this arboretum while visiting the Dunbrody famine ship in New Ross and we thought "might as well have a look". So happy we did this. The walks seem endless, the scenery and trees are breath taking and its also very quite and not too busy. Very nice spots with benches to sit down and rest and even a small lake surrounded by wonderful vegetation. Really worth a visit

On Sunday 15 June 2014 my partner and myself visited here with her two daughters and five grandchildren. On arrival we had a picnic in the large picnic area which is within view of a large play area for children. After our picnic some of us walked around the park stopping at the lake to se the ducks where a lot of people relax about half way around the park. When we returned to the picnic area we had another picnic before we left and realised we had spent six hours there but enjoyed every minute.
It is a fantastic place for anyone liking the outdoors.

This was great for our kids as it was a sunny day and there was a good play park and lots of space to run around. There are plenty of picnic tables but also a café if you prefer. If you want a walk there are lots of options in the huge collection of beautiful trees, from a 10 minute dander to much longer. And for those so inclined you can pop into the visitors centre to see Jackie Kennedy's dresses and a scale replica of John Glenn in his mercury pod. At 3 euro per adult, under 6s free, its good value.
