Pleasant well-kept course - relatively flat, but quite challenging.

“Lovely relaxing stay, will be back. Pity that the Masters was not shown to reaonable hour.”
Reviewed April 23, 2012

Lovely spot, quiet, tranquil and nicely located between Waterford and lovely coastal areas. We stayed in self catering cottages which were really comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We will definitely be back.

“Walking in the footsteps of the landed gentry”
Reviewed February 16, 2012

Located on an island in the middle of the city, complete with its own castle(Hotel) and only accessed by ferry makes a visit to this golf course a special old worldly experience. The course itself was designed by Christy Jun. and is a test for the good and the average golfer with generous fairways, minimal rough and challenging greens.Water appears occassionally and unexpectantly. The setting is spectacular with many of the old relics of a by gone age retained and modernity screened away as far as possible.Food and refreshments can be had in the clubhouse but for a special treat on a cold day have some tea and hot crumpets in front of a roaring fire in the castle: bliss.
