Old hotel on the waterfront. The cheaper of the two big hotels in Waterford on the river. Two minute walk to downtown.

Bar/restaurant was decent but not great. Food was reasonably tasty, service was slow.

Lift was a little scary, and room was older. Everything still worked. Bathroom and bedroom were clean. Beds and furnishings were as expected. Pay a few euro for internet only works on one device. Car park is directly across the street which is close, and hotel will validate parking.

Breakfast was fairly good. Buffet style but food seemed pretty fresh and coffee was refilled promptly.

Fairly adequate but also low price. You get what you pay for.

This place is actually a dump and is not that great a place to stay. We were only here for a night and I'm thankful for that. The rooms are small and drab. The hotel charges for WIFI. This cheap place tries to squeeze every penny out of its guests. Even guests who paid for WIFI had trouble logging on. One person we talked with said that he had to stand by the door with his laptop in order to log on. We have stayed at hotels and Bed & Breakfast all over the states and Canada and none of them have ever charged for WIFI. For the price you pay here, you can get a hotel with WIFI and much better rooms.

We travelled to Waterford expecting to find a nice little B & B somewhere along the way, but they evaded us. Once we arrived at Waterford, we drove around for an hour or so searching for accommodation ad didn't come up with anything close to suitable. We were referred onto Dooley's by a guesthouse that did not have availability and were very glad we did.

The Accommodation was well appointed, represented good value and the breakfast was good. The location was fantastic and close to everything around us. We dined at the in house hotel, and the food was excellent.

Would definitely stay here again if lucky enough to visit this lovely town.

This may have been my favorite place I stayed during my trip to Ireland. Everything was top notch for a very reasonable price. The location was unbeatable. There was a car park directly across the street. It is usually 5 euros but the hotel gives you a discount at 3 euros per stay in the lot. ( they charge on exit no matter how long you stay in the lot). The front desk was very accommodating- completing a currency exchange for us, mailing out a postcard, giving directions, etc. The bar downstairs had great food at a decent price, and had live music almost every night. I found it odd that there were signs in the bathroom threatening to charge for stolen towels, until I used one. The towels were huge and cozy. Again, the location was amazing and everything was within walking distance. A must stay!

2nd time we have stayed here and we found it still lived up to our original stay. Ideal position for Waterford town centre being on the waterfront, we had a room overlooking the main road and river out the front, although a very busy road we didn't find it overly noisy. staff were very helpful.

Nice hotel.. The service checking in and out was easy no hassles .. The rooms were clean, the area very nice. The only thing that I didn't care for was the service for dinner. It could have been a little better. I would recommend your hotel.

Hotel is well located but dated. This is definitely an old world hotel. Great location right on the river. Clean rooms.

Staff friendly but not exactly proactive.

Online Internet provider instructions incorrect when trying to login, amenities book stated a 4 Euro charge, also incorrect as its free. Instructions missing on phone and no mention in hotel amenities book on how to use it to reach the front desk. After getting the proper code for access by descending 3 floors - one very small, slow elevator - there was no mention that it would only work for one device so another trip down to the lobby for two more access codes - really?

Food in the restaurant okay but waitress made an error on our bill necessitating a second payment.

Bed needs a new mattress - enough said.

Cable channels good with clear picture. Shower excellent but shower rod too high so lots of water on the floor to mop up afterwards.

For one night it was fine but I wouldn't return, especially at the rates indicated by Trip Advisor.

I think this hotel has been over-rated by the normally brilliant Trip Advisor. Perhaps this hotel attracts a particular type of patron. I found the attention to detail lacking.
