Not my choice of hotel as it was booked by a friend. Room was huge and had a lovely view of the estuary.
Room was dirty, one bedside light in the room didn't work, curtains failing off the rail and had to pull out a huge ball of hair from the plug hole in the bath when I arrived. Not a good start.
Close to very good Gastro Pub and Oriental restaurant where they serve excellent food.
Receptionist was extremely helpful. An asset to the hotel.
Staff were asleep during breakfast service, had to keep asking for a pot of tea, and was very offputting when chef was coming out of kitchen and filling up the 'buffet' hot breakfast by firing the food into the bain marie. Just seemed very sloppy, almost like a feeding trough.
Floors were walking with the dirt in the restaurant.
There were hand prints all over the lifts and needed a good clean. All surfaces were sticky to the touch.
Saw the food being served in the hotel bar and decided to eat out as it was so offputting, and the prices are very cheeky. It was cheaper to eat out in far nicer restaurants.
Weekend music made this a very noisy location, and being in a room over the front door of the hotel, meant that it was 1.30am before things quitened down. So don't choose this hotel for a bit of peace and quiet.
Breda's beauty salon was lovely, highly recommend this even if you aren't staying in this hotel.
