The Bistro has always been a local favourite, the salads and pizzas are always delicious and reasonable! The service is good and quick, I'd definitely recommend it as a safe bet.

“Great food, great atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

This was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time. I got their signature dish and it was every bit as good as promised. My wife got a pizza (with added pesto) and it was freshly cooked and deliciously. Highly recommended but come early and be prepared to pop off to the pub for a bit while you wait for a seat. Very popular with good reason!

Doesn't do bookings (or at least they only allow bookings for a small amount of their space) and, as it's very busy, may not be ideal for a romantic special occasion.

“Treated like a friend, didn't want to leave”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

On a rainy day in Sligo town my wife and I wanted somewhere nice to eat. Found Bistro Bianconi in the Italian Quarter near the river. The staff were really welcoming letting us choose our table. This was an anniversary trip so the décor and ambience took us back to Florence were we stayed for our honeymoon.
The food was great and good value. We ate starters, shared a pizza then had sweets and coffee. It was lovely to take our time and not feel rushed.
Special mention to the owner who took time to speak to everyone dining that evening on an individual basis, it made us feel so welcome and we would recommend Bianconi,s to all.

Felt really well looked after in this restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful and timely with their enquiries and taking of orders. Food was cooked as ordered and portions were generous. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely restaurant.
