“Fantastic food, great atmosphere, helpful friendly staff”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

A group of us ate here last year when passing through Sligo on a motorbike holiday, it was so good we vowed to return and did so just this week. It was very busy for a Wednesday evening but the lady running the restaurant had us seated in no time, when we told her we had visited Sligo again especially to eat there she was overwhelmed and made sure the first drinks were on the house.
There were 4 of us and 3 pizzas were ordered and one Mexican cannelloni. My hubby is on a quest to find the best calzone in the world and had rated this restaurant in the top 5 on his last visit and believe me there have been many! It remains in his top 5 and has received the best score to date! For dessert the peanut butter stack is delightful although regrettably no one had room for it this time. If we visit Sligo again next year this restaurant will definitely be done again. Superb food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff what more could you want.

Great pizzas, always a good buzz. Hard to book though - which is irritating when you're eating with kids and don't want to queue/ wait.

“The best in Sligo, everybody knows”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

Best value, great food, great atmosphere... The pizza is the nicest maybe in Ireland.. Have eaten there many times and will again. There is nothing bad to say about this restaurant and you will be veryt hard pressed to find a local in Sligo who has anything less than excellent to say about it, so this should tell its own story. Plus the restaurant is full almost every night of the week with locals and tourists alike which tells it's own story. Highly recommended

“Lovely tasty meal, great variety, good value!”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

I ate here with my husband 2 weekends ago during a trip to Sligo. We had no reservation but they fit us in on a busy Easter Saturday night after a short wait. The variety on the menu is great, whether you're after pasta or pizza. Great choice of starters and desserts also. The food is simple tasty Italian, which is exact what we were after. My husband had a seafood pasta dish and I had the Michelangelo pizza. We both really enjoyed the food. After starters also, we ended up sharing a dessert, which was also lovely. They also have a great wine list- plenty to chose from. I had a lovely black muscat with dessert which finished off the meal beautifully. I would definitely recommend Bistro Bianconi's to anyone visiting Sligo, and I will be returning there myself if I visit Sligo again. Really enjoyable night.
