We were booked here by our tour organiser and were extremely pleased, the rooms were large with a beautiful river view with comfortable beds, and clean, new bedding and carpets. Large bathrooms with included terry robes. Particularly nice electronics with excellent WiFi with room specific passwords and very good TV service for European standards.
Breakfast and other meals offered many choices and were of good quality. In addition it has a great location within walking distance of businesses and attractions. Parking was very convenient in the underground garage. By far the best hotel of this Irish vacation.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view

Stayed for one night with my husband. The man at reception that checked us in was very pleasant and was very quick. Stayed in a deluxe room . No difference than the normal room except bottled water and bathrobes . Bathrobes were tatty and need replacing . View was fab but balcony had no tables or chairs so couldn't use it. The rooms were quiet quirky but need a lick of paint and carpets need washing or replacing. Shower power was shocking . Lucky we made use of the excellent location.check out was quick and the lady was again very friendly and warm. Would probably stay here but would choose a basic room instead.

Stayed in the hotel this weekend as part of a hen party. We arrived rather late all staff were very accommodating on the Friday evening . Organising food for me and my mum even though bar food had finished for the evening .. The Saturday night we also ate in the hotel as a group and the staff were just fab! A real credit to the business . Food was a slight disappointment as pasta was over cooked but everything else was lovely . The breakfast each morning was so nice and fresh . With Enda being especially friendly in the morning. We did find one female receptionist to be rather snobby . But overall the stay was lovely enjoyed by everyone

When booking the Glasshouse hotel I had already priced up other 4 star hotels in Ireland in various different counties and the price of the Glasshouse is far better value for money compared to other 4 star hotels, the issue is that when you get there the hotel is actually more of a 3 star experience but even considering this the standard rooms we booked were excellent value for the price we paid.

First off the hotel has a quirky interior to it that has aged pretty rapidly, I visited this hotel a few years ago and the bright funkiness of it has worn off, it feels a little bit worn and in need of a good refurbishment. The rooms in particular require a bit of touching up, the carpets were worn and stained and in need of a deep clean, the bed sheets and covers were torn in one room and there was some staining on pillows and sheets too.

That said the rooms were big, nicely insulated from room to room sound (You could hear everything in the hall way though) and comfortable. Our standard rooms had no view but had wall to ceiling windows that were appreciated when the sun was shining in the mornings. The toilet was nice and modern with nice shower and bath facilities. A safe is also provided in the room. Wi-fi is room specific too and was very fast and stable unlike most hotel Wi-fi, the TV was also fully featured with internet access, a youtube app, and lots of information about the hotel and even weather reports for the area easily accessible.

We ate in the bar area and the Kitchen restaurant also and found both to be excellent, service was great, friendly and prompt. The food was of a great quality and the prices were excellent, in particular in the bar you can add a drink to your meal for a great price and in the restaurant you can get an excellent value two or three course meal.

The location is excellent with pretty much everything in Sligo easily accessed in 5 - 10 minutes walking. The car park is pretty small with only 60 spaces so might be an issue at busier times of the year.

Reception was also friendly and prompt on both check in and check out.

Despite it's small flaws this hotel is well worth a visit and we'll be back at some stage in the future.

This hotel is quirky: some rooms have air conditioning, some do not. Some rooms have balconies, others do not. However, if you keep an open mind, the experience is rather enjoyable. Rooms are quite comfortablem in-room wi-fi is being rolled out to all rooms, and they are one of the few hotels still providing bath robes. The breakfast is predictable, yet has a wide enough variety to accomodate everyone. Most important for us was the availability of restaurants and, pubs, and shopping within easy walking distance.

My boyfriend and I decided to book a Junior Suite with the Glasshouse. To be totally honest, the suite itself looked more like a bigger version of a standard room. Very disappointing. When we first got to our room, there were glasses from people who previously stayed in our room. The only good thing was the view and the TV! The hotel itself is like something out of the 70's and is very worn. However, the food was nice which is one of the few pluses to this hotel. The hotel is very well located but I think the price of the suite is ridiculous for the standard we got.

Nice hotel. Experience soured slightly upon checkout and the attempt to charge me for overstaying on a "deadline" that was extebded twice. You either charge your customers for parking or you dont? Considering we were a party of 12 who would have added nicely to your Saturday night takings i found this, more so the manner with which it was dealt, not great.
