The food was good value, plentiful and quick. We had a lovely evening in audited. It overlooks the Atlantic so can be a little windy but the restaurant is definitely worth visiting. The fish and chips were lovely. The stuffed mushrooms divine and the wine nicely chilled. Suits families, couples and onesies as it is very cosy and has a friendly atmosphere. Normal price for an irish restaurant.

We visited austies whilst on a weekend break to Sligo. We had no expectations and we're pleasantly surprised! Great views, friendly engaging staff and a lovely meal. Although the menu was not massive it offered a selection of seafood to our liking, with the bucket of chips a huge success!
After our meal accompanied with a reasonably priced nz wine the restaurant owner promptly offered to drop us to our hotel courtesy of his friendly son. We will be back!!!

Went there for an evening meal on a Saturday night. Service good, food good, ambience good. You get a good view. The one criticism you might make is that the menu is not as extensive as in some places. But we found what we wanted, so that was fine.

My wife daughter and I visited Austies one of our local restaurants last Wednesday. We were pleasantly surprised. Although the menu was limited the fare on offer was excellent. My daughter had the chicken burger which was excellent and fresh although the edges were hard/tough. My wife's fish pie was very tasty although there was to much potato. My catch of the day was excellent. The waiting staff were friendly but lacked training. Our wine bottle was plonked on our table but no effort to pour let alone check on its quality. The new operators are to be congratulated on their efforts in restoring this venue to its previous reputation. The presence of the operator's pet dog is not ideal. Still well worth a visit.
