My cousin and i went to Mc Garrigles for a couple of drinks as we could not get a decent seat after eating in Hardagons. Laid back would best describe this pub - bad points first , the toilets are cold and primitive. However the ambience is very good . It has a clear glass frontage which makes it great for people watching and on a wet but busy Saturday afternoon there was plenty to see. The very friendly barman was using Spotify through a very good sound system so we got John Lee Hooker through to Brian Auger/Julie Driscoll for the 2 hours we stayed - excellent stuff for a couple of 55 year olds. the beer was fine if predictable and the clientele were a mixture of tourists and shopper's partners waiting for the bag laden. A very nice soujourn.
