Really good little museum. Displays very informative, without having to read loads of information. Staff friendly and helpful.

A great exhibition and a good layout. Space a bit cramped overall but the staff and officials trying to deal with that. Overall, a great experience! Thank you!

The County Museum has acquired many interesting artefacts from Castle Leslie (until mid 2014). The exhibition tells the story of the family and the estate. It includes home movies made by the family from the 1940s (including Mick Jagger's visit in 1968). Also featured are documents related to Sir Jack's wartime experience as a POW; and the family's connection to Winston Churchill. Well worth a look.

Not on the main street, but well worth a visit. Such friendly staff and very interesting displays about life in Monaghan. I plan to go back again when I'm next there.

As visitors to Monaghan with limited time we had waited for the information office to open first thing in the morning. When we informed that the museum actually opened at 10am we were rather disappointed as we needed to be away as we had a great distance to travel that day. A very helpful young man happened to overhear our plight and suggested that he make contact with the lady who was at that time opening up the museum. No problem, of course we could make a visit, all we needed to do was ring on the blue door and our entry would be granted. Oh how privileged did we feel. And yes, what a great place to visit, really interesting displays, a real gem, and for my friend the chance to learn more of Monaghan the town and county where his g.grandmother left during to potato famine to resettle in New Zealand. Thank you so much to the really kind and helpful persons who made our brief visit possible.

A great attraction to Monaghan and a must see for anyone visiting the town.
