This coffee shop sells the best scones and coffee in Ireland and I have tasted some scones in my time!(with a figure to bear witness to it,sadly)Why can't more coffee shops make their own food instead of buying it in?The choice of cakes and food was mindblowing and all homemade by the delightful owner and his wife. They deserve to do well!

I had the homemade soup with bread followed by a share of the pear gateaux. All the food was delicious, the views from the cafe are great and it wasn't too busy so no wait time.

Ginger and Wild Cafe, in the Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre, has great options for lunch or tea. All the cakes, some gluten free choices, appealed. However, the vegetable soup and brown bread and the bacon, Brie and tomato sandwich we ordered were too filling to add a dessert. French chef and gracious hostess are attentive to customers.
The cafe is on the 2nd level of the Center with elevator and accessible washrooms. The glass walls overlook the park; there are paintings for purchase on other walls. No matter the weather, this would be a highlight of a park visit.

Visiting the Ballycroy National Park center,We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional homemade food, made in the cafe at the center! Jean Pierre bakes all the cakes, breads, wonderful Brown Bread on the premises with the help of Nicola,I can honestly say that this was some of the best I've had and to find such a treat at a park center ! Can't say enough! Highly recommended !
