“We could not get a better location”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

We stayed here for three nights ,we had two beautiful large rooms in this lovely house with real irish hospitality hosts (Sadie and Noreen and Angela). The location is perfect and so quiet at night situated on a tree lined street with the river running alongside ,it flows under the stone arched bridges which is in the center of this lovely town of Westport . We toured around this area which we found to be so rugged and scenic while we stayed at this superb B&B .

Room Tip: Our two rooms were so private right beside each other.

We came here on our friends recommendation and we were not dissapointed. We did not have a reservation but we telephoned and spoke to a lovely lady called Sadie and she told us she could give us a family room for myself and my husband and two sons, who were looking forward to playing in Matt Mulloy's bar that evening which is just a short walk away, our friends back home were so right about this lovely Guesthouse ,its location is perfect as is the house itself, they certainly made us feel so welcome and comfortable and we are so delighted that Sadie had a room for us, thank you all for a great stay and we are sorry we did not plan our trip for some extra days in the west of Ireland.

Stayed here in June 2012 and it was an absolute delight. I can never understand why some people choose to stay in hotels when in my opinion B&B's are more friendly, cheaper and more personnel. When we arrived we were greeted by Angela who made us feel right at home straight away. The location of this B&B is great. Right in the middle of Westport and surrounded by beauty. We stayed on the top floor and the room was excellent. Bright, clean and comfortable. I was amazed by the amount of reading material available around the house and there is a location in the middle of the house where you sit down and enjoy this aminity. The food the next morning was lovely and we where informed by Angela of the local attractions... A Joy to stay and we will be back..

Room Tip: Room on the top floor is a must

John and Sadie still own the Boulevard. Angela and Ken are now managing the day to day. The location was perfect. About a 100 m walk to the main avenue. Parking was easy. The bnb itself is right in front of a wide, but quiet boulevard. Our room was very clean. The bnb itself is an older structure with its creaky sounds when guests are moving around. We had a room facing the Boulevard and it was quiet. The breakfast was just fine. If we had one suggestion, it would be to replace the mattresses, as ours was very soft and bouncy. A bit hard to sleep in it. Angela is fantastic. Very knowledgeable of the area, as she grew up there.
