Just back from a lovely two night stay in the Castlecourt! Just wanted to pass on some well deserved praise for the ladies in the Sula Spa, had a lovely treatment on Friday morning, and the staff are just lovely in there, there is a reason we travel 1hr away time and time again to visit! As always the hotel itself did not disappoint, always makes for a relaxing and enjoyable stay! x

We stayed here for 1 night, during our drive around Ireland. We were disappointed by the quality of this hotel. I expected much more, when I booked it. Very bad price vs value. The only positive thing was the staff of the hotel. All the rest was very depressing. The hotel was overcrowded by people on some event. The rooms and the hallways are way out of date and need renovation badly! The bathroom is crying out for refurbishment!! The bar of the hotel was overcrowded with not at all friendly people ( extraordinary thing for Ireland)! And to get something to eat (apart from expensive set menu in the main restaurant) you have to go to a smelly, dirty bistro! It was really terrible! We found the solution by having our dinner in the bar of Plaza hotel. By the way Plaza is much better! The wellness facility is ok. Only 2 sunbeds to sit on and a few chairs. Water in the pool was 30 C. And to use the pool you have to by a swimming cap for 3 euro. Overall, the castlecourt hotel has to sell rooms at 50 - 65 euro to match the value it gives to it's guests. Don't stay here, unless the price is right and you are ready for a rough experience. Better to pay a little bit more and to stay at Plaza.

Room Tip: don't stay here!

Stayed there last Dec for a trip to Westport House, lovely hotel but the noise at night on the corridor was horrendous, we had 3 children with us and all were woken up at different stages, when I told the receptionist in the morning-she had very little sympathy and told us that what happens when there are weddings. Not good enough I think we were guests too.............

Caring for Carers, Limerick Branch stayed in The Castlecourt Hotel as part of The Caring for Carers,Ireland Annual Conference and Respite Break. The feedback from our members was that the hospitality was second to none. The Castlecourt is an excellent venue for catering for such a large group of people. The staff were warm and friendly, every single one of them - management, front line, waiting staff, housekeeping staff and also leisure centre staff.

Spent a bowls break at the castle court and everything was excellent. I would like the recommend the French fries and their kippers, both are excellent. This is my third time there and I will be going back again!

A very well-positioned hotel near the centre of Westport, The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean and well-appointed, there are plenty of rooms to sit, chat, and drink. The rooms are small enough but extremely well-done. The restaurant is large enough to not have a scramble for breakfast. All in all a first-class venue, and far more pleasant than its somewhat faded exterior suggests.

We were attending a wedding, which always lets you see the business side of a hotel clearly. The staff handled the event excellently, always willing to help and clearly offering great support to the bride and groom. I regret not trying the spa myself, but heard it was excellent.

Good carparking at rear in underground carpark. Room at front of hotel was small but very clean and warm and excellent bed.
Breakfast was included and was excellent with loads of choice including full Irish and smoked kippers.
Bar was lively with music both mid week nights we stayed.
We were going to book online but decided to take a chance and just walk in off the street and we got a better rate than any online price I could find. It may be worth calling to check prices.
This is a good base and we visited all around the area including Croagh Patrick, Lough Doo, Marconi station and Alcocl and Brown Landing site. Would stay again if I was in Westport.
