My friend and I stayed one night at Seapoint House and thought it was wonderful! We had no problem finding the home. Our room was spotless, with gorgeous views of the bay. When we arrived the tide was out....but the next day we found the sea was now just across from the house! Just beautiful. Carol was so helpful with things to see and places to eat. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There were 6 in our party and we came across Seapoint House by accident at the last minute and were thrilled! The location was beyond our wildest dreams! The drive to the B&B, the furthest point towards Clew Bay coast was easy to find, we just followed the geocodes with our GPS; about 20 minutes from Westport. Our bedroom had sea views to the north and west, just gorgeous. We didn’t want to leave the home for dinner, so we just stayed in the living room and had wine, cheese, crackers and of course Irish whiskey that we had carried with us. Carol and her husband (so sorry, can’t remember his name) allowed us to occupy their living room all evening with our iPods (they even provided glasses and plates). This was the only B&B that provided a laptop and the WiFi always worked! They kept a fire going in the fireplace all evening and we loved it when they joined us for wonderful conversations; especially the story about the escape of their cows! After a perfect breakfast, we were on our way to Londonderry. We were sorry to stay only for 1 night – you must stay at Seapoint House for a few nights to absorb the beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at Seapoint House 3 separate times during our visit to Ireland, and we absolutely loved it! It's a beautiful house, set right on the bay a few km outside of Westport. The scenery and water views are stunning. The rooms are very nice - large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is delicious! And since we were traveling with our two little girls, one of our favorite parts of the house was the living room downstairs that is so cozy and inviting. They already have toys in the room (which our girls loved!), and it is the perfect place to play and spend time with other guests. Then lastly, the best part of Seapoint House is the host Carol and her lovely family and staff. They are incredibly gracious and friendly, and Carol went out of her way multiple times to really take care of us. One night we brought take-away Chinese food back, and she set us up at a table in the breakfast room, gave us a bottle of wine and two glasses, and had her daughter play with our two girls in the living room while my husband and I had dinner. It was so sweet and thoughtful, and it was by far the best experience we've had at a B&B in Ireland. I definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed at Seapoint House for just one night in August 2013.
Unfortunately we had no time at all to enjoy the experience, since we arrived late in the evening and had to leave very early in the morning.

Nonetheless we can say that the B&B is nice and well kept.
The room was big and clean, with a beautiful view on the sea & islands in front of the house.
The owner was really nice to us: she was helpful in suggesting a place nearby where we could eat dinner, and she didn't complain when we asked for a (really!) early breakfast.

Overall: good.

we stayed at Seapoint House for 3 nights last week. It was a little difficult to find and when we did drive up the road to it I felt my heart sink a little as I couldn't work out where the "views of the bay" would be! But as we rounded the corner at the property, it all became beautifully clear!!! Magnificent location, stunning views, and we were lucky enough to have the room with the doors opening Out onto a rooftop balcony where I sat and watched the sunset. The only thing missing was a tv in the room, for those wet evenings, of which in the West of Ireland there are many!! All in all a great stay, thank you Carol.

Seapoint House has a gorgeous location right on Clews Bay, the tastefully rennovated farmhouse with a lovely breakfast room and wonderful staff is all spot on, but Carol takes it up a level with recommendations of fabulous drives and attractions to take in along the way and restaurants, pubs and musical venues in Westport. We dined at Torrinos, Mangoes and Sage and would recommend them all. Torrinos may have been the favourite. Seapoint House is ideally located a short drive from the facilities of Westport but feels a million miles away, definitely worth a visit. At least 3-5 nights to enjoy it all.

Room Tip: Lake view.
